One of my favorite ways to add a little 'vavavoom' in the spring and summer (or to cover up humidity-stricken or unwashed hair) is wearing headbands! I'm loving my new navy & white turban headband from Do-Da Wraps, and it's going to be perfect for anything from work (like styled above) to a top knot at the pool. Well, it's still over 90 degrees here, so no fall dressing for me. However, I did pull this skirt out of the back of my closet because it makes a great transition piece. It was summery enough to wear to work yesterday, but the fall colors were nice to incorporate. This skirt will be great to wear with booties and a chambray shirt once the temps cool down a little!

 This is a work look from last week! I love that flared jeans add a little more interest to the basic jeans and a top combo, and I wear my pair any chance I get! Also, I know these colors are a bit spring-y, but it's still been hot here so I've still been wearing my summer clothes most days. Fall will come soon enough though and in the meantime I'm starting to stock up on cute autumn attire!

Having a 3-day weekend has been amazing, yes? Quite frankly, work tomorrow is not sounding too fun. We should have more of these...

I know a striped dress is somewhat summery, but I think that stripes are so great to transition to fall with. I'm looking forward to wearing this one with a denim jacket or chambray shirt and some suede booties (like I did here).

 This is a pretty simple outfit post of what I wore to work yesterday! Paired down, it's just the classic pairing of a white top and jeans, but there are of course nearly endless ways to play with the combo. In this case, I added subtle bits of color in my wedges and bracelets (and a bit of lipstick of course), then kept everything else neutral!

Two more days until the weekend! Woot woot!

 My sister was on vacation last week, so I conveniently shopped her closet for work outfits before she moved back to college Sunday (consequently taking all of her clothes with her). Both this skirt and top are hers, but in my credit, I did help pick both of them out when she bought them recently :) I think this top is so fun though, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it's still available (and for a fantastic price too)! As usual, I simply added a pop of color to a neutral outfit with my bag and voila ~ easy breezy work outfit!

This is just an outfit I quickly put together in the middle of a very busy week! I hadn't worn this skirt in a long time, so I built an outfit around it that would work for the extremely hot and humid weather we're having (yay). Jumping into work has been such a hectic life-changer this week and I'm desperately trying to change my sleep schedule. As a super night owl that suddenly needs to go to bed early and then look good at a very early hour of the day and then focus all day...well, let's just say it's been a struggle so far. Can you tell I'm not very good with change? haha.

So as promised, here's what I wore for my first day at my new job yesterday! I'm now an Assistant Account Executive at an advertising agency in Springfield, Missouri called Noble Communications. I went to school for advertising and PR, so it's incredibly exciting to not only have a full-time job right after graduation, but to also be doing what I went to school for! As I'm sure you've gathered, it's a very casual office which means... I get to wear cute, stylish outfits to work!! ('yay' x a million!) I would be fine with business attire, but this will definitely be more fun.

Here is a simple, casual look for summer that's perfect to throw on for dinner and a movie, etc! I'm not going to lie, I pretty much styled this outfit around my new J. Crew-inspired fan fringe necklace, which I'm obsessed with! It was just $20 on Etsy with free shipping and I linked it above...I highly recommend! And speaking of jewelry, if your guy needs a little help with his gifting and you're trying to drop some hints about jewelry you might like, I came across a great article that's a guy's guide to buying jewelry, which you can find here. Based off of what I've observed from my dad and boyfriend, guys like a little help when making these types of decisions haha.
