This perfectly soft, cozy sweater is BB Dakota, but I sadly can't find it anywhere online anymore 😿 sorry ladies. In other news though, apparently these jeans and ankle boots are all I wear nowadays, so I hope you're not sick of them yet! The positive is that I happened to see that my jeans are 40% off today! They're such a steal at that price, and I can't recommend them enough. They're flattering and also so stretchy and comfy.
Speaking of sales, Forever 21 extended their Cyber Monday sale and they have 21% off all orders today with the code CYBER21! Yesterday I ordered this sweater & this top!
I wanted to blog this white top again (last seen in this post) to show how you can still wear white and ivory tops in the fall and winter! I think it can be a really nice, unexpected styling choice. I've linked several other gorgeous options at the bottom of this post!
On Saturday, my blogging bestie Brianna and I shot pictures pretty much all day! It was one of the first cold days here, which was quite the rude awakening, but we managed to shoot quite a few outfits and get some images I'm really excited about! I know blog photography is so different from other types of photography, but I honestly feel like I could take photos and learn about photography all day every day. It's something I'm definitely developing a passion for!
Not gonna lie, Monday morning is hitting me like a ton of bricks, but I'm off of work Wednesday - Friday this week, so that's keeping me motivated today!
This shirt is a little bit pajama inspired, and maybe a little bit grandma-esque, but whatever it is I love it! This is definitely "my color" at the moment. As I shared in my November wish list post, I've been so drawn to all things mauve, rose and blush lately! Plus satin and silky textures are huge right now.
Fashion aside... please take the time to vote today! I know this presidential election has given most of us migraines and nightmares, but just remember all of the other important positions and amendments on ballots today that don't get talked about as much. Those are where I feel my votes actually make a difference anyways!

This past Saturday we held my little bachelorette bash and it was so fun! I'm not much of a party girl and really was looking for some great girl time with my best friends, so we had an awesome, low key night! We first got pedicures at my favorite nail salon (True Beauty in Springfield - a must!), then ate at a fun Mexican restaurant downtown (Maria's has the best margaritas), then went back to my parents' for chocolate fondu + wine. It was lovely!
I hunted for weeks and weeks for my bachelorette party dress. I was really good and didn't buy anything new for either of my bridal showers, so this was the perfect excuse to buy something fun! I didn't want anything tight or too short, but still wanted something a bit 'hot' and unique. After frustrating weeks of online shopping, I finally found this number at Dillards the week of! Sometimes you really can't beat actually shopping in-store.
Thank you to my wonderful friends and sis for putting this together and coming to celebrate with me! Here are some snapshots from the night:
En route to pedis!
Starbucks stop! Because of course...
But first, let me take a selfie...
Of course I had to capture my outfit as an #OOTD
Gorgeous bridesmaids in pink!! They put my party together and it was just fabulous!
Pretty sister (Tess) :)
If I didn't have a sister, she would be my maid of honor ;) Love my Haley!
My college bestie miss Ashley. This girl is an incredible friend!
Our wonderful friend Sarah! She has already been a huge help pulling last minute details together this week.
And last, but certainly not least, my wonderful friend (and wedding photographer) Jo! This girl is as true as they come.
All my girls! Loved our colorful attire :)
Check back later this week to see our engagement photos! Thanks for reading!

So, I got this dress in the mail from H&M last week and wore to work the next day! Sweater dresses aren't anything particularly revolutionary or trendy this winter, but I definitely love them. I love this particular one so much that I now own it in two colors (see my other one here). I have a pretty casual workplace, which is awesome, but I get pretty sick of wearing jeans every day in the winter! So, casual skirts and dresses that I can wear with tights are definitely my friends. And this particular one hangs loosely, and is so comfy to sit in all day at my desk - a huge plus.
Sweater: H&M (love these oversized sweaters here & here + this tan one | Boots: Aldo (old | love this similar pair)
Leggings: Express (the best leggings!) | Bag: Phillip Lim for Target
Watch: Fossil | Bracelets: Forever 21, Lia Sophia, American Eagle
Happy Friday and Happy Weekend! It's such a great feeling, yes?
I bought these boots over 3 years ago back when I worked at Aldo as a summer job, and little did I know that a few years later over-the-knee boots would be having a huge moment. I guess I was ahead of the times ;) These are really really great for dressing up a leggings and oversized tunic/sweater outfit, and this particular outfit will come in handy for the plethora of basketball and volleyball games I'll be attending this weekend :)
Do you have any fun weekend plans?? I think we may start house-hunting a bit this week...eek!
These are some items I'm crushing on at the moment! It's still very warm here in August typically, but this year it's been a little cooler and I've got summer-to-fall dressing on my mind. When transitioning to slightly cooler temperatures, I look for dresses and tops that will pair well with a jacket on top - whether it be denim, leather or military-inspired. Cognac, nude and black are my go-to accessory colors, and booties are my fall shoes of choice. Besides that I look for small pops of color, and items that will be versatile for different temperatures and seasons.
What must-haves do you have on your fall shopping list this year??
