Midi Jumpsuit
5.17.2016

Black jumpsuit
Black midi jumpsuit
Criss-cross back
Black jumpsuit
Deep v-neck jumpsuit
Jumpsuit: c/o Tobi (true-to-size; also comes in olive) | Belt: ASOS
Heels: Steve Madden (similar) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (my color is sold out everywhere!)

I'm so sorry for the brief hiatus! It's been a busy several days. Over the weekend we celebrated my sister's college graduation, and then she and I took a little sister trip to St. Louis Monday and Tuesday to see Ellie Goulding (who was ah-mazing) and do some shopping! It's also been raining here non-stop so blog photos haven't really happened :(

I'm glad I snuck in these photos before the rain hit though! This jumpsuit is so edgy and unique...I just love it! I think it's such a fun alternative to a dress for a dressier dinner or event (would be awesome for a concert). Don't forget that you can get 50% off your first order at Tobi! They seriously have so many cute things...I love so many of these midi & maxi dresses, and think I want to try out a body suit (if you've tried them, let me know if you like them!).

Off-the-Shoulder Romper
5.02.2016

Romper: c/o Tobi (currently 50% w/ code ROLLER50! | also comes in blush) | Belt: ASOS
Shoes: Forever 21 (similar here, here, here & here) | Bag: Forever 21
Necklace: Kendra Scott | Lips: MAC 'soar'

I can't get enough of off-the-shoulder stuff these days (more in these posts here & here) and this black, bell sleeve romper caught my attention immediately. It's so comfy and I love that it has a little bit of edge. I also loved that I could style my new double buckle belt with it! As much as I want a B-Low the Belt bri bri belt (made popular by Monica Rose/Kendall Jenner), I found lots of really similar affordable options at ASOS so I figured I should save my money for now!

Tobi, where this romper is from, currently has a 50% off site-wide sale going on through tomorrow (May 3) when you use the code ROLLER50! They have tons of cute rompers (mine is just $27 with the sale), and a lot of unique maxi dresses

Muted Color Palette
4.29.2016

Dress: c/o Tobi | Clutch: Clare V
Heels: Steve Madden | Earrings: Kendra Scott

Can I just start off by saying how much I love the color of this dress?? I wasn't paying very good attention to my blog post planning this week because all 3 of my outfit posts have nude and blush pink tones. You can tell that I'm really drawn to that color palette these days! I think this dress is so pretty, but it turned out to be much lower cut in the front than I expected! I also am very, v-e-r-y flat-chested, so I probably don't fill it out like it's supposed to be [insert laugh-crying emoji]. I still love it though and the back is stunning and so simple. I've always loved a low back! I think this dress would be perfect for a romantic getaway or tropical vacation if you like a more muted color palette/aren't into neons. I hadn't shopped at Tobi for a couple of years (I used to quite a bit in college), so I was surprised to see how many cute things they have at great price points. I just checked their site and all rompers & jumpsuits are 50% off today only (ends at midnight PST, 4/29) with the code SUN50. I have this romper that's just $27 with the sale and will be on the blog next week!

Total change of subject, but I tried my first barre workout Wednesday night (Springfield, MO area girls - Physique Fitness is amazing!) and I loved it so much! The whole class was to "Lemonade," and it made me want to cry it was such a good class. I think with my dance background and lack of knowledge about weights/hatred of running, that it was really my perfect type of workout. And I am so sore in all the places I need to tone! Sadly, there are zero barre classes in my town - UGH. But I told my sister I would make special trips down (almost an hour) in the summer to workout together and go out to eat! haha. Have you tried a barre workout class before? Did you love it??

Have a great weekend!

Summer Peplum
6.05.2014

Top: Tobi (old | similar + more below) | Jeans: Forever 21
Heels: Steve Madden (similar here and here) | Bag: Phillip Lim for Target (sold out)
Necklace: Forever 21 (similar)

I don't know about you, but I still absolutely love peplum hemlines. To me, they invoke a classic elegance (the 1940's are my favorite) and are so flattering and feminine. I paired mine for an easy-chic look with heeled sandals and a statement necklace and think it would be just perfect for a date night :)

I hope you're having a good week! I'm definitely ready for the weekend!

April Remix: White Jeans {3 + recap}
4.29.2014

Top: Tobi | Jeans: American Eagle (on sale!)
Heels: Steve Madden (similar here and here) | Bag: Phillip Lim for Target

I can't believe I'm wrapping up yet another remix series! I've styled my white skinny jeans 3 different ways for spring, and I'm wrapping it up with a little going out/date night look! I love a simple, loose tank for a night out because they're easy to dress up, and I just always feel best with a little breathing room. Normally white jeans wouldn't be my first choice for a going out look, but with black and red they make quite a statement!

Here are all 3 looks!

Which look was your favorite??

Jacy

PS ~ I'm really considering not doing my monthly remix series anymore. These past few months I just haven't been feeling as inspired, and I almost feel like I'm limiting myself a bit. I don't know... Maybe if I take a break I'll be into it again. What are your thoughts? Is this something you really love seeing on here or is it just 'eh'? Or would you like an occasional remix post showing a few different ways I've worn a particular item over the course of normal blog posts??

Springtime Boho
4.09.2014

Top: Tobi (last year | similar here, here, here) | Jeans: Forever 21
Shoes: BCBGeneration (last year | similar: low, middle, higher)
Clutch: Gap (similar) | Nails: Orly 'Pink Waterfall'
Bracelets: Lily and Laura (great online shop to buy them here)

I feel like the warmer it gets, the more color I want to wear! You know I'm mostly a neutral type of gal, but I do love some fun pops of color. I love the bohemian vibe come spring and summer, so this top is the perfect way to wear it subtly. I wore it to a great concert with my best friends last spring, so it has some fun memories tied to it too :)

I hope the weather is warming up where you are! It looks like we're finally going to have a sunny, rain-free day today to enjoy the temps and blooms :)

Black & Tan Basics
1.22.2014

Top: Tobi (similar here and here) | Jeans: Forever 21
Heels: Prabal Gurung for Target (similar) | Bag: Tobi (sold out)
Necklace: J. Crew Factory

I love having a few simple blouses on rotation to dress up jeans with. Add a pair of classic heels and you've got a bit of simple chic! This is a perfect example of an outfit that doesn't take a lot of thought and planning, but looks a step above a basic outfit.

Happy Hump Day! I swear yesterday felt like a Wednesday...what a long week it has been!

little black [shift] dress
9.25.2013

Dress: Rodi Boutique (call 417-886-1211 to order| similar here, here & here) | Heels: Steve Madden
Purse: Tobi (found here) | Necklace: F21 (similar)
Bracelets: vintage & F21 | Nails: Essie | Stacking initial rings: Gorjana & Griffin

I wore this Saturday evening for another shower for my best friend's wedding! The theme was pink and black, so I took the opportunity to wear my new shift dress and then styled small pink accents. It was such a fabulous time and I can't wait for the rest of the wedding festivities!

working girl dinner
9.18.2013

 Top: H&M (love these 3 gorgeous H&M tees: 1, 2, 3) | Skirt: Forever 21 (similar)
Heels: Steve Madden | Bag: Tobi (available here)
Necklace: purchased on Etsy (ILY Couture version here)

I had a work dinner last week because some clients were in town, and this is what I wore! Working in a casual office is fantastic because I have a lot of freedom with what I wear. But it also means that I get teased whenever I wear heels, skirt and dresses...boo! That paired with the fact that I live in a rather casual city in general means that I relish any chance I get to dress up! That being said, because it was a work dinner I wanted to look polished and professional without being stuck in business professional-esque attire, and this is what I came up with!
