2018 Holiday Gift Guide + Nordstrom Giveaway 12.12.2018

I'm a little late to the game with my gift guides, but hopefully some of you have procrastinated and will still find this helpful! 😉 I decided to put my ideas all in one post this year, so that it can be your one-stop holiday shop! 

GIFTS FOR HER

These are some general ideas for the gal pals in your life, whether it be friends, your sister or your mom/mom-in-law - there's a little something for everyone here! A few of my favorites are these wine glasses (I have and love), an Instant Pot for gals who like to cook, these cute fuzzy slippers, and this soft thermal. You can also never go wrong with a spa or mani/pedi gift certificate either!

GIFTS FOR THE BEAUTY QUEEN
I LOVE giving beauty gifts, and there are always great deals and cute sets this time of year! I've found that it's sometimes hard to pull the trigger on a fancy face mask or face oil for yourself, so I like to pamper others with these types of gifts. 

GIFTS FOR THE HEALTHY GIRL
As a wellness-obsessed person myself, I couldn't leave out some healthy girl gift ideas! You definitely can't go wrong gifting some cute Outdoor Voices pieces, and I would love this pretty NutriBullet for daily smoothies.

GIFTS FOR THE GIRL ON THE GO

My parents got me a suitcase set last year, and it was an amazing gift! I want to travel more in the future and I know a lot of us feel the same, so I thought a travel gift guide for her would be put to good us!

STOCKING STUFFERS FOR HER
And....stocking stuffers! Always some of my favorite gifts to pick up. I love these scrunchies, this lip balm, and this portable charger.

GIFTS FOR HIM
Guys can be so hard to shop for, am I right?? Trey's favorite gifts are usually experiences (sporting events, concert tix, etc.), but I like to mix in some other gifts as well.

ON MY CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

What's on my Christmas Wish List 12.08.2017

Did you catch my 2017 Holiday Gift Guide for her, for him, and for kids? Well today I'm sharing my own Christmas list! When Trey or family ask me what I want for Christmas I usually have zero ideas off the top of my head for them. So this year I made up a little list! Hopefully better late than never... Here is my 2017 Holiday Gift Guide! I included gifts for her, gifts for him, and gifts for kids - all broken up into under $50 gifts and under $100 gifts! Even though we don't have kids yet, I actually buy a lot of gifts for kids between my nephew and five nieces, and a lot of my friends are in the same boat, so I decided to include kiddos for the first time this year. I honestly think those were my favorite gift ideas to pick out! 😌

Gifts for Her | Under $50

Other ideas: photo book or framed family photo (for moms & grandmas), a bottle of wine + a cute wine stopper, Capri Blue or Voluspa candle

Gifts for Her | Under $100

 Other ideas: bottles of her favorite wine + a wine stopper or new glasses, a spa gift certificate, collection of skincare & beauty products

Gifts for Him | Under $50

 Other ideas: bottle of high end liquor or certificate for a tour + tasting experience, grilling accessories, man cave decor (framed posters, books, penants, etc.)

Gifts for Him | Under $100
 Other ideas: concert or sporting event tickets (may be over $100 for 2 people, but wanted to include!)

Gifts for Kids | Under $50
I personally love to give kids books and board games/puzzles instead of toys, but also love giving clothes and cute stuff for their rooms. Our nephew loves to get stuff related to his favorite sports teams.

Holiday Glam 12.05.2017

I usually keep things pretty casual on here, but that doesn't mean I don't love a glam moment once in awhile. Cue THIS. FREAKING. DRESS. Long sleeves, mock neck, slits, black, sparkle....that's a yes for me. The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City was the perfect dramatic backdrop for this stunning MINKPINK dress courtesy of Lulu's. I kept everything else simple because the dress does all of the talking. 

This is #notsponsored, but if you have any fancy soirees coming up this holiday season (charity events, NYE, etc.), Lulu's Holiday Shop is a great place to check for that perfect, glamorous dress. I actually got my bridesmaid dresses from Lulu's a few years ago, and it's always been one of the first places I've checked when I need a dress for a wedding or event because they have formal wear at affordable price points.

NYE Attire 12.27.2016

This NYE we'll be driving back home from Utah, but if I got to dress up, this is what I would be wearing! I love the colors and velvet details of this dress, and it's even prettier in person. I also love the idea of OTK boots to make a dress or skirt more wintery (and warmer). I'm wearing this pair with dresses later this week for my cousin's wedding and rehearsal dinner since it's cold here in Utah!

We skied Christmas day and yesterday, but are taking the day off today to rest our muscles and just relax and explore. As much as I love skiing, I'm excited for a chill day!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day with family. I am so thankful that you take the time to read and follow my little slice of the blogging world, and I love connecting with all of you. 

I wanted to share our Christmas card photo because I love how it turned out! We haven't taken a high-quality photo together in quite awhile, so I was happy to have an excuse to take one :) I wish I had remembered to take a pic of our Minted cards before we left town, but you'll just have to trust me that they were really cute 😉

Holiday Sangria Recipe 12.24.2016

Happy Christmas Eve! We pulled into Park City, Utah about an hour ago after driving 18 hours straight through the night! Today we're going to relax, get groceries, rent skis and watch football, then tomorrow we may be skiing on Christmas day!

I only have a couple of blog posts planned for next week since I know most of us are on vacation, or at least off of work some days and spending time with family. I was planning to shoot a couple of outfits here, but there is soooo much more snow than I expected, so we shall see if that happens or not. You may just get a lot of Instagram photos! 😉

Now to the sangria... I made this a couple of times last year, and again Thursday night, and it's so delicious and festive! I've adapted my recipe from this recipe.

Ingredients for 1 pitcher

1 bottle of pinot grigio
1 bottle of moscato
3/4 cup of sparkling apple cider
1 green apple - chopped
1/4 cup halved cranberries
3/4 cup whole cranberries

Combine all ingredients and stir, then chill in fridge for at least 4 hours. There is a lot of fruit, so you may want to remove a little when serving to make it a little easier to drink :)

Dressy Christmas Outfit Idea 12.22.2016

I'm keeping today's post short and sweet because I know for a fact we're all running around like crazy people! 😜 We got back this morning from visiting Trey's dad in Arkansas, have Trey's mom's side's Christmas tonight, and then leave for Utah with my family tomorrow - HELP. I haven't packed at all yet, but my sister is here with me today helping me cook, wrap presents, pack and clean. She's a lifesaver!

I think we'll be skiing on Christmas day this year, so I won't be very dressed up at any point of the day, but I am packing this exact look for my cousin's wedding next Friday. I think the dark green is absolutely stunning for this time of year!
