Fall Style Cravings
10.06.2017

Fall 2017 fashion trends/wish list

Guys, can we just talk about how good the fashion scene is right now?? There are periods of time where I'm not super into anything, but this is not one of those times. I just love what's in style and what's in stores right now! As I talked about in yesterday's post, I want to have more fun with fashion from here on out! I tend to play it safe (partly to be practical, and partly because of where I live), but I want to just go for it and wear all of the unique pieces I always have my eye on.

Here are a few trends/style concepts I'm diggin' at the moment...

Old-School Menswear Inspired
I know it's crazy, but your grandpa's plaid and little caps are back! As are loafers. I love these plaid blazers here and here, I wear these loafer mules constantly and found a cheaper look-a-like here, and am all about the captain's hat trend.

Embellishments
I always love a good embellished piece to add some texture and "umph" to an outfit, and there are some beautiful options out right now. I love these pearl-embellished sweaters here and here, these embroidered culottes, these trousers, and this bag.

Millennial Pink
I'm happy to see that the various shades of millennial pink aren't going anywhere this fall. I think they'll be beautiful into the winter months as well. I'm in love with this hat, this cardigan, this suede bag, and these gorgeous ankle boots.

What trends and styles are getting you excited about fall fashion this year??

June Wish List
6.08.2017

I'm just loving the fashion scene this summer. Prints and embroidery, denim skirts and slide sandals, and never enough red or millennial pink. So good!

After being on vacation, I'm fully embracing summer style. I recently added this denim mini skirt to my closet, but also want this one in blue denim. I'm still unsure if overalls are for me, but I'm thinking of giving this pair a try. I feel like both are a nice alternative to cutoff shorts!

I recently added two gold chokers from Five and Two to my choker collection, and they're all I've been wearing! I love to layer different chokers, and all of their stuff is perfect for layering.

MAC matte lipstick in "velvet teddy" has been my signature lip for a year and a half now, and while I wear it year-round, I especially love its warm tones for the summertime. In fact, it was the only lip color I wore on vacation! I love this special edition packaging for the summer.

Zara has so many cute summer pieces right now! I'm definitely ordering this red daisy print crop top and this breezy embroidered top. I also love this cutout one piece, this embroidered dress, and this adorable summer halter dress (#vacationvibes).

What are you obsessed with at the moment? Are you loving all of these styles and trends too?

May Wish List

Love, Lenore's May Wish List
Everything is shoppable by clicking on each item *except:  black slide sandals  |  black woven bag

My shopping list is exceptionally long right now, which is oh-so scary! I really need to be saving up for the multiple vacations we're taking this summer, but of course I want to buy cute things for said vacations! Vicious cycle, right? ;)

A few trends & concepts I'm especially lovin' on this month...

Platform sneakers and espadrilles (add that extra somethin'-somethin' to your look)

Lots of texture (eyelet, woven bags, tassels, suede - all of it)

Fun belts (how to add that 'third piece' to your look in the summer)

I'm planning to do a sightseeing/summer vacation packing guide at the end of this week, so stay tuned for that! I'll be sharing some outfit ideas, and some of my vacation essentials + picks.

And now for more pieces I'm obsessed with at the moment...

⭐ Everything can be shopped by clicking on each item pictured ⭐

Guys, I actually really really love fashion right now. Okay, I guess always do... But style is just GOOD right now and my personal wish list is so stupidly long. I should be saving up for a new couch and a master bathroom reno, but the clothes and accessories right now !!! Ya know?

I included all sorts of good stuff in today's post, but if you want more, check out my 'shop' page for more spring/summer goodness. Also prepare to drain your spending money.

Embroidery doesn't seem to be going an-y-where anytime soon. I'm definitely digging it, and it's a great way to add color and texture to your outfit. This skirt and these shorts are high up on my wish list.

I have always had an aversion to white leather, but I think I'm slowly changing my mind (primarily because of this ridiculously good, budget friendly bag). Zara for the win.

I had wondered if this was the year that off-the-shoulder stuff would start feeling tired, but the options are better than ever right now. One look at my shop page and you'll see that I'm most definitely still obsessed. This year there are also a lot of one-shoulder and cold-shoulder options in the mix. I recently found this dress that's only $25 and comes in 4 color/print options (I think I need the red floral), and I'm in l-o-v-e with this cold-shoulder top that has lots of cute details.

Silver hardware + jewelry is definitely going to be big this spring and summer. You guys know I recently bought these gorgeous studded sandals, and since all my jewelry is gold, I'm eyeing these silver statement earrings, and this silver necklace.

And now... more recent finds that I'm obsessed with...

March Wish List
⭑ click on each item to shop! except: white embroidered blouse + pink bag

Yay, it's wish list time....always one of my favorite posts of the month, even though they take me a frightening amount of hours to put together! 😜

So I have to admit that a few of these items were a bit of a cheat because I already bought them... I have these earrings, these buckle heeled sandals, and these girlfriend jeans. However, I put them on this wish list because I already know how great they are, and because all three are inspiring a lot of outfits for me right now!

If you're obsessed with everything floral right now like I am, I'm especially loving this cold-shoulder top, this dress, and this romper.

If dusty rose accessories are calling your name, I love these slides, this bag, this bag, and this bag.

And guys... You don't have to read about my hunt for the perfect pair of girlfriend jeans anymore because I've finally found them and they're under $50! These babies are so stinkin cute, and I love the subtle frayed hem. They're also v. high-waisted, which is exactly what I wanted. The only issue is that for them to be as relaxed as I wanted on my booty & thighs, the waist is like 2 sizes large on me, so they'll be spending a little bit of time at the tailor. I'm not ready to part with them just yet though, so I've been cinching them in with this belt. I'll try to get them on the blog in an outfit post by the end of the week!

October Wish List
10.10.2016

Love, Lenore October Wish List
Top  |  Bag  |  Choker Set
Skirt  |  Jeans  |  Pom Pom  |  Heels
Booties  |  Necklace  |  Clutch

How we are already 10 days into October is absolutely beyond me. This is easily one of my favorite months of the year though, and I love that fall fashion is in full swing! We are finally getting the most beautiful fall weather here, and I can't wait until I'm fully recovered from being sick (strep and possibly a flu virus - ick) so that I can get out and enjoy it more.

In addition to my usual affinity for black (made more interesting in silk, suede, and velvet), I'm really feeling olive, cream and berry tones right now.

I'm also all about the stellar vibes... Sign me up for anything stars, moon or lightning related! This necklace & this necklace set, this clutch, and this top all caught my eye + this top will be on the blog tomorrow!

And let's talk about velvet for a second because it's having a MOMENT. I came across these velvet over-the-knee boots and just about died. So good. But so something I don't need.

I hope your Monday wasn't too painful! I personally am happy to have the work day out of the way :)

September Wish List + Favorite Fall Trends

September wish list + fall trends

Jeans  |  Velvet Heels  |  Belt
Scarf  |  Blazer  |  Suede Sandals

Fall fashion has me so excited about blogging and styling again! Don't get me wrong, I love summer clothing, but you simply can't do as much with them styling-wise and at this point of the year I don't want to buy any more summer stuff. I'm ready to layer and pile on the accessories! So bring on the fall goodness!

-Statement Accessories-
Lately I've been choosing accessories that pack a punch. I think they're the best way to dress up and/or remix all of your staple clothing items without having to spend a ton of money! I recently got this bag (seen on my Instagram) that has both embroidery and embellishments, and I'm also obsessed with these heels and soooo many other accessories right now!

-Texture-
Velvet, suede, tassels, lace, raw hemlines, embroidery, satin... Unique and luxe textures are going to be huge all fall. Adding a piece with texture to your look will make your more basic, staple wardrobe items look more expensive and fashion forward. I love this lace top, these suede heeled sandals, and this satin cap

-Dusty Pinks & Blues-
In addition to your standard fall color palette (olive green, burgundy, black, gray, camel), dusty/muted shades of blue and pink are absolutely "in" right now and pair beautifully with black, gray, white/cream and denim. I love this blazer, this jacket, and this bag.

-Raw Hem Denim-
I'm sure you've seen this trend everywhere, but jeans with a raw hemline are everything at the moment. I love the uneven hemline on these, and the scrappy hemline on this pair.

What are your favorite trends for the new season, and what have you found yourself buying lately?? I'd love to know what you're into right now! I'll also excitedly be watching NYFW for lots of runway and street style inspiration :)

More finds...

Summer shopping wish list
Sunnies | Cross-Body (8 color options)
Satchel | Bracelet | Lippies ('midi' & 'bumble')

Another month, another inspiration board! Can you believe we're already halfway through 2016?? In June I celebrated two years at my current job and two years as a homeowner, and later this month we'll celebrate our two-year wedding anniversary. Crazy! Trey and I are hoping to do a mini vacation in a couple of weeks, so I've been shopping for cute and comfy outfits that are heat and walking friendly...and that can be mixed and matched and easily layered. A little more about some of my favorite things at the moment...

-If you're like me and get sick of tank tops but need something breezy for the heat, tops like this and this are both airy and lightweight, but don't require any crazy bra finagling and show a little less skin.

-I am so drawn to eclectic and/or floral prints right now, and especially love this little neck scarf, this phone case, this graphic tee, this romper, this fun halter top, this off-the-shoulder dress, and this matching set here & here.

-Because we'll be doing a lot of walking on our upcoming trip (still deciding between two destinations!), I would love to snag a pair of edgy espadrilles, or one of these sneakers here and here.

-I'm definitely a bag lady and I'm so happy I bought this Rebecca Minkoff bag! I'm still trying to decide whether to order this Zara bag. What's your vote?

Summer Trends & Wish List
Choker | Chambray Romper (yes, it's actually a romper!) | Sunnies

Summer is in full swing here in the midwest (it's supposed to be 96 degrees for my brother-in-law's afternoon outdoor wedding this weekend. holy s***!) so I've been looking for all kinds of fun clothing and accessories that are well-suited for the heat and humidity! I love not only creating these wish lists each month, but also seeing what color palettes I'm drawn to at the moment. Right now I'm especially inspired by red and deep orange prints, cognac, black (literally always), and shades of mauve and rose pink. A few notables...

-If you've ever experienced midwest or southern humidity, you know that it is absolutely inevitable to sweat like a dude unless you're some magical goddess (in which case, I envy you). Breezy tanks are an absolute must. I'm obsessed with all of the prints this tank comes in (I ordered the orange print), this lace-up tank is a steal (I ordered black but plan to get the white too), and this is a pretty little tank on sale for $16!

-The "it" wedges of the summer have been restocked and I want them so incredibly badly. Currently utilizing every ounce of self control to not drop most of my shopping budget on them...ugh.

-Because I wear my staple denim shorts (these are my absolute favorite) on heavy rotation all summer, I like to mix in a couple of unique pairs to keep things fresh. I'm legitimately counting down the days until I get these embroidered beauties in the mail (hope they fit!), and want to get these as well.

-Because summer outfits are simpler by nature, I rely on accessories to keep things interesting. Chokers are one of my biggest obsessions right now, and I have also totally bought into the bandana-scarf-kneck-tie trend (a year late, but better late than never, right?). Both add that extra punch to an outfit, even if it's a simple tank top + shorts. Also, this bag is the Gucci look on a Zara budget! It's real suede for $50, but do pay attention to the dimensions as it's a fairly small bag.

What trends are you all about this summer?? Rompers, off-the-shoulder stuff, and funky sunglasses are still going strong this year and I love those trends as well! I linked tons and tons of cute summer finds below, and there are even more on my 'shop' page

March Wish List

Spring trends & wish list
Skirt | Heels | Phone Case here & here) | Skinny Scarf

Spring is kind of here (on some days) and I am just ecstatic about it! Fortunately, we had a more mild winter in the midwest this year, but it's still exciting to have warmer temps and to watch everything green up a bit.

I absolutely adore spring color palettes and light layers. It's probably my favorite seasonal transition.

-This year blush pink and rose quartz will be huge, and these shades look gorgeous with olive green, light or dark denim, and any nude/tan/brown tones. This skirt is on its way to me (I hope it's cute on!), and I also love this dress.

-Bomber jackets are becoming the new 'it girl' jacket (thanks to stylist Monica Rose!), and I think an olive green one will be so chic to layer over breezy tees, blouses and sundresses. I just got this one!

-A go-to stripe dress or tee is an essential for easy spring layers in my book and will absolutely never go out of style. Bonus - you can dress them up for date night with heeled sandals or dress them down for daytime with sneakers and a jacket. I love this dress for $13, as well as this one for $36.

-Nude and camel accessories are the easiest way to transition from winter to spring. I just got this foldover clutch in blush leather, and l-o-v-e this gorgeous cross-body bag.

February Wish List
2.09.2016

Lace Top | Lip Pencil ('soar') + Lipstick ('brave') | Choker
Jeans (I really want these) | Flats | Dress (under $30)
Sunnies | Lipsticks ('lumiere 2' & 'midi')

So, it may be a bit obvious that I have spring on my mind! We've had a much milder winter here this year compared to last, so it's giving me way too much hope that spring is just around the corner. This time of year (regardless of the temp) I like to start purchasing a few pieces that will transition my wardrobe to spring. Adding in touches of white, blush and light blue to your other neutrals is my favorite way to do this! Rose quartz and blush shades of pink are going to be huge all spring, and I think they're so gorgeous and chic when paired with black and light denim. I've definitely noticed a theme emerge in what I've been drawn to lately!

At the top of my list is finally finding a great pair of light wash boyfriend/girlfriend jeans! They look amazing with flats and sandals, so I think they'll be that perfect transitional piece. If you've found the perfect pair, please let me know what they are! I'm definitely struggling so far because I have a thin waist and more muscular booty and thighs, but these have great reviews so I may give them a shot. I also want to add in a few fun statement pieces - like this top, this dress, and these heels - to mix in with all of my staples.

What's on your wish list this month??
