Cream Teddy Coat #teddycoat
How to style a teddy coat or teddy jacket
cozy winter neutrals
As you may have noticed, I'm just a little bit obsessed with teddy coats and jackets! I've always hated wearing coats and feeling stuffy/bulky, but this is a trend that's equal parts comfy and chic. This is the coat I'm wearing in these pics (highly recommend grabbing it before it sells out again). I also own this budget-friendly tan jacket, and just added this black teddy jacket to my collection (use code BRI20 for 20% off).

Most of these are under $100 and quite a few are under $50!

Fall Sweater Edit
11.01.2018

The best affordable fall sweaters

It's sweater weather y'all! Like it or not, chilly days are here (at least in Missouri) and it's time to cozy up in some cute sweaters! Now, I'm pretty picky about sweaters... they have to be flattering and they can't be itchy. I can't personally vouch for most of these sweaters, but I do own a few of them (which I'll point out below), and have ordered several of these too! Looking at my closet, I would say most of my sweaters are from H&M. You definitely have to weed through the good and the bad, but year after year they have awesome ones at a steal of a price! I actually ordered a few while writing this post last night!

Also, I can't link from these some sites in the widgets below, but definitely check out some of my favorite online shops, Shop Lux, Maude Boutique, Lulu's and Zara for cute and affordable knits as well!

CREAMY NEUTRALS
Ahhh...my favorite! I could probably own 20 cream and tan sweaters and still want more versions. I just ordered this one, I've worn this one tons already, and I have last year's version of this sweater

COLOR
I've always been a neutrals-only kind of gal, but this year color has been growing on me! I have several of these in my cart!

BLACK + GRAY
You girls know I love my black clothing! I have this sweater and this sweater and can vouch for their amazingness! I ordered this cozy gray turtleneck last night too.

PRINTS
I don't usually go for a bold sweater, but I can't get this one out of my head! Probably need to go ahead and order it! I'm also in love with all things leopard at the moment and love it in sweater form here & here.

Gingham, Surprisingly

gingham off-the-shoulder top

Gingham is having a moment this spring, and strangely enough, I'm liking it this go-around. I've honestly never been a big fan of gingham, but I like seeing it in non-preppy options, and it's definitely a nice light print for spring and summer.

Elevated Basics

One of my top shopping priorities or tactics is to always have accessories that can make the most simple of outfits "pop." In this case I'm just wearing a basic tee + skinny jeans, but I made it a [blog-worthy] styled look with a few great accessories.

If you're on the hunt for a great pair of high-waisted skinny jeans that are bank account friendly, these are your jeans! I've been wearing them so much and have been neglecting all of my other jeans! They actually hit my natural waist (above my belly button), have a really good slimming, stretchy fit, and the raw hem is perfect. Oh, and they're $30!! I'm typically a size 2, but got a 4 in these (H&M bottoms tend to run quite small).

Tee (I also have in black - they're the best little tees!)  |  Jeans ($30!)

If you've been wanting to get in on the bandana/neck scarf trend, then I found some gorgeous options here and here. I've found mine to be surprisingly versatile because you can tie them onto a bag (like I did here), or wear them a few different ways around your neck (I showed some options in this post).

I hope you girls are having a great week! My bestie & incredible photographer Jo (you'll want to follow her!) is coming into town to stay with us tonight and then tomorrow we'll head up to Columbia for a couple of photo shoots and to visit my best friend from college (shoutout to Ash!) and Brianna! It's going to be an amazing couple of days and I'm looking forward to seeing almost all of my girls!

My First Bodysuit + a Giveaway

As much as I want to wear little spring dresses and shorts everyday, we are definitely still having some cooler days around here, so I've wearing these girlfriend jeans quite a bit! The light wash and raw hem feel so fresh for spring, and they're perfect with spring blouses, graphic tees, and bodysuits.

This is actually my first bodysuit, and I'm obsessed! I love that you don't have to worry about them becoming untucked, and that they just streamline your whole outfit. This one is no longer available, but I love these here, here and here.

April Wish List + Trend Talk
4.07.2017

⭐ Everything can be shopped by clicking on each item pictured ⭐

Guys, I actually really really love fashion right now. Okay, I guess always do... But style is just GOOD right now and my personal wish list is so stupidly long. I should be saving up for a new couch and a master bathroom reno, but the clothes and accessories right now !!! Ya know?

I included all sorts of good stuff in today's post, but if you want more, check out my 'shop' page for more spring/summer goodness. Also prepare to drain your spending money.

Embroidery doesn't seem to be going an-y-where anytime soon. I'm definitely digging it, and it's a great way to add color and texture to your outfit. This skirt and these shorts are high up on my wish list.

I have always had an aversion to white leather, but I think I'm slowly changing my mind (primarily because of this ridiculously good, budget friendly bag). Zara for the win.

I had wondered if this was the year that off-the-shoulder stuff would start feeling tired, but the options are better than ever right now. One look at my shop page and you'll see that I'm most definitely still obsessed. This year there are also a lot of one-shoulder and cold-shoulder options in the mix. I recently found this dress that's only $25 and comes in 4 color/print options (I think I need the red floral), and I'm in l-o-v-e with this cold-shoulder top that has lots of cute details.

Silver hardware + jewelry is definitely going to be big this spring and summer. You guys know I recently bought these gorgeous studded sandals, and since all my jewelry is gold, I'm eyeing these silver statement earrings, and this silver necklace.

And now... more recent finds that I'm obsessed with...

Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking...

I still chuckle to myself over that line from "The Devil Wears Prada," which is probably one of my favorite movies ever. And now I really want to watch it... 😏

Groundbreaking or not, I'm obsessed with florals more than ever thing spring. Don't you feel like they're having a huge moment?? As soon as I saw this outfit on Taylor of Little Blonde Book, I knew I wanted to find a similar blouse in my price range (I'm obsessed with the Equipment one she's wearing!). Enter this budget friendly blouse that's only $18! I honestly can't believe it's so cheap, because the cut and quality are excellent.

In the spirit of super affordable florals, I rounded up 15 spring floral pieces under $50...
