Okay, you guys asked on Instagram Stories, so here are a ton of my favorite Target.com finds! If there's anything that can unify us in these crazy times, it's probably Target!
Some of these I own, and many I've seen in person, so I know they're good. Others I haven't actually laid my eyes on, but hey, they're probably fantastic. I'm not worried 😂 My favorite thing to get at Target is home decor (hence the pic above, which features several Target items from the past couple of years), but I love it all!
Anyone else absolutely freezing where you're at?? Retailers have already moved onto spring, but it hasn't been above freezing here in days, so I'm not done buying winter pieces yet. However, I do want to keep things on the affordable end since spring is [hopefully] around the corner. So, I rounded up several cute jackets and coats that are under $50! I have a couple of these and my friend has another, and they're all great jackets (want this leopard coat that my friend Bri has!).
In years past I've only had a couple of staple coats that were good quality, simple, etc. But this year I've found that when I have a few cute and more exciting jackets to add into the mix, that my layering possibilities are endless (and so much more interesting)! Now, if you're going to a NFL playoff game, these are not the coats for you, but for many winter days I can absolutely get by with throwing a jacket like this on top of my outfit.

Forever 21 | 21% off everything w/ code CYBER21 Forever 21 is pretty hit and miss, especially now that I'm in the second half of my twenties ;) but I do still find some awesome pieces (like all of the cute things below) - I just have to dig a bit more!

Jenny's Print Shop | $10 print downloads w/ code THANKYOU I love this site! You can normally download any of Jenny's prints for $15 each, but they're just $10 each today. You can then can get them printed and framed wherever you like! I discovered her site a few months ago and still have yet to order any simply because I can't decide which ones I want the most! I'm particularly fond of this print though :)

This is one of those outfits that I threw together with stuff I've had for awhile, but I really, really like it! Sometimes I struggle to come up with outfits to blog when I don't have a bunch of new stuff, but there really is something to be said for shopping your own closet and coming up with unique pairings!

Unexpectedly, plaid and any kind of checkered print is absolutely huge this fall and winter! I've always found plaid to be a little on the preppy side, but I'm happy to see it in lots of interesting pieces and styled in more fashion-forward ways this season. So overall, I'm a fan in moderation! One thing I'd especially love to buy is a plaid coat to add some print and interest to my winter outfits. Here are some of my favorite plaid and checkered finds from around the web...

As far as styling goes, I'm a big fan of mixing plaid with slightly edgier or unconventional pieces to keep it from getting too preppy or "school girl." I love the look of a plaid blazer or bottoms paired with a graphic tee, and you can also add more edge to your outfit through your shoes (I love a chelsea-style ankle boot), layered necklaces, and a hat. What are your thoughts on all of this plaid madness? Do you plan to wear it this winter?
As with probably every female, ankle boots are an absolute staple of mine in the fall and winter (and all seasons, really), and if I had to pick, I would say they're my favorite category of shoes! I love to have a mix of more simple, staple booties, along with a pair or two that really make a statement (i.e. the [faux!] snakeskin pair above). As I've been online shopping lately [or always?] I've come across soooo many fantastic ankle boots, and I wanted to share them with you guys! I've split them up into three price categories.

Guys, can we just talk about how good the fashion scene is right now?? There are periods of time where I'm not super into anything, but this is not one of those times. I just love what's in style and what's in stores right now! As I talked about in yesterday's post, I want to have more fun with fashion from here on out! I tend to play it safe (partly to be practical, and partly because of where I live), but I want to just go for it and wear all of the unique pieces I always have my eye on.
Here are a few trends/style concepts I'm diggin' at the moment...
Old-School Menswear Inspired
I know it's crazy, but your grandpa's plaid and little caps are back! As are loafers. I love these plaid blazers here and here, I wear these loafer mules constantly and found a cheaper look-a-like here, and am all about the captain's hat trend.
Embellishments
I always love a good embellished piece to add some texture and "umph" to an outfit, and there are some beautiful options out right now. I love these pearl-embellished sweaters here and here, these embroidered culottes, these trousers, and this bag.

I love fall layering with jackets, and there are so many cute jacket trends this fall! Here are four trends/styles that I'm especially loving... The obvious trend that I'm sure we're all noticing everywhere is oversized jean jackets! I love the effortless and vintage vibe, and I've already worn mine so much.
Bomber jackets are definitely still in this year, and I'm loving the varsity jacket look that's in the mix too.
A faux leather jacket is an absolute closet essential in my opinion! I found my perfect jacket last year and got soooo much wear out of it. I can't wait to wear it again this fall and winter.
A new trend that I foresee being big this fall is shearling! Similarly, teddy coats and faux fur should be big as always too.
I'm not exactly sure why, but I've really been in the mood to save my money lately. I've barely been buying clothes the last few months (weird as a blogger, but probably positive since I tend to be an online shopaholic), and what I have been buying has either been higher quality investment pieces or complete bargains - none of the in between. My most-worn piece the past couple of weeks has easily been this $30 graphic tee. I love everything about it, and there are so many ways to style it now and in the fall!

I'm sure by now you've noticed how obsessed I am with slide sandals! I have this white pair ^^ and a black pair that I basically rotate all week, and then a brown pair on their way to me right now 😍 I love how effortless and minimal they feel! Like you just breezed out the door looking all chic without any thought or effort at all (not true whatsoever, but I like to give off that vibe 😜).
I also find them to be so comfortable. Kind of like a glorified [and much chicer] flip flop!

I plan to order my 3rd pair of these workout leggings, I'm obsessed with the sleeves and colors of this sweater, and am really feelin' these ankle boots for fall & winter.
I'm just loving the fashion scene this summer. Prints and embroidery, denim skirts and slide sandals, and never enough red or millennial pink. So good!
After being on vacation, I'm fully embracing summer style. I recently added this denim mini skirt to my closet, but also want this one in blue denim. I'm still unsure if overalls are for me, but I'm thinking of giving this pair a try. I feel like both are a nice alternative to cutoff shorts!
I recently added two gold chokers from Five and Two to my choker collection, and they're all I've been wearing! I love to layer different chokers, and all of their stuff is perfect for layering.
MAC matte lipstick in "velvet teddy" has been my signature lip for a year and a half now, and while I wear it year-round, I especially love its warm tones for the summertime. In fact, it was the only lip color I wore on vacation! I love this special edition packaging for the summer.
My shopping list is exceptionallylong right now, which is oh-so scary! I really need to be saving up for the multiple vacations we're taking this summer, but of course I want to buy cute things for said vacations! Vicious cycle, right? ;)
