My Favorite Fall Sweater + The Sale I'm Shopping This Week 9.26.2018

One of my favorite sales of the year kicked off this morning (and goes through Saturday, 9/29) and I'm so excited to shop it! I'm feeling so inspired this spring, and just love the fashion scene/trends at the moment! The light earthy tones, woven textures, subtle prints, little details - it's all so good! My wardrobe is definitely coming together for the spring and summer seasons...now I just need some warm, sunny weather here in the Midwest! What We've Been Up To, and Where We're Headed Today 12.26.2017

I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas and Christmas Eve! We've had a busy last few days, and are now off on a quick trip to Houston! On Friday we had our annual Christmas celebration with Trey's mom, brothers, and their families and we always love that quality time hanging out with our nieces and nephew. On Saturday, Trey and I squeezed in an overnight trip to St. Louis just to have some quality time together, eat some yummy food, and go to a Mizzou basketball game. Once in awhile I talk Trey into snapping some blog pics for me (especially if we're visiting a city), and this post was one of those times 😜 On Christmas Eve we drove home through some snow and had Trey's family's Christmas, and then we spent Christmas Day with my family. It was a great weekend!

Today we left at 5am to drive down to Houston! Mizzou is playing in the Texas Bowl tomorrow and we decided to make it a family trip with my parents and sister! I've never been to Houston before, so definitely leave a comment or DM me on Instagram if you have recommendations of places to eat or things to do! We'll be coming back Thursday, so it's a super quick trip, but I'm excited to explore a new city.

This is a complete sidebar, but I finally got a Natori bra, and not only are they pretty, but they're also really comfortable for an underwire bra. I rarely wear a bra with an underwire (because why would I go through that discomfort when I have tiny boobs??), but I made an exception for this one (I got the "feathers plunge contour bra").

I love the big sales that Shopbop does a few times a year because they're the perfect opportunity to stock up on items for a new season, or splurge on a higher ticket item - all at a sale price! So the sale actually opens to the public tomorrow, but I was able to partner with Shopbop to open it up to you guys one day early! I love simple t-shirt dresses for spring because they're so easy to layer! This one from Maude Boutique is so incredibly soft, and I'm in love with the raw hems (which you can see better on their site). I was so cold while shooting these that I forgot to get a picture without my jacket! 😣

I also wanted to quickly share about an awesome sale over at Shopbop (that I'm sure you've heard about by now haha)! Shopbop carries mostly high-end brands, but there are still a lot of reasonably priced brands and items there, and it's one of my favorite places to order from (their free 3-day shipping is the best 🙌). So far these jeans have held up really well to a lot of wear. I like that they have a lot of stretch (they're super comfortable), but because of the stretch I advise going down 1 size.

Shopbop is one of my favorite places to shop, so I love when they do huge site-wide sales! They carry so many great brands, and I like to purchase investment pieces I've been saving up for during their sales so that I either save money or am able to buy more. Plus, they have free 3-day shipping and free returns, which is definitely helpful if you're not sure what size you are or want to see a couple of color options in person! I recommend the sale for things like high-end denim, designer sunglasses (I adore both pairs of my Karen Walker sunnies), and handbags (you can't go wrong with Rebecca Minkoff)!

The sale runs through Friday, March 5, but a lot of great things may sell out fairly quickly (see all details and exclusions here). I'm thinking of buying a Clare V clutch and trying out a pair of Splendid heeled sandals (currently torn between a couple of them).
