Faux Fur + Chambray
1.08.2015

Vest: Target (may still be available in stores | similar here (seen on this blogger), here) | Shirt: Forever 21 (old, similar) | Pants: H&M | Booties: Elliott Lucca (also available here) | Hat: Prima Donna | Bag: H&M (similar) | Watch: Fossil | Bracelets: Loren Hope, The Limited, Lily and Laura | Lips: Revlon balm stain in 'Crush' | Nails: Essie 'Penny Talk'

I hope you're having a great week! This is an outfit I put together for work the other day, and it's ridiculously cold here this week, so this vest was nice and warm (and more socially acceptable then wearing my coat indoors all day long).

Is anyone else getting a major endorphin/motivation boost from the days starting to get longer again?? I swear nothing demotivates me faster than walking out of work to darkness! So, there being an hour+ of sunlight after work in the evenings again is really helping with my motivation to cook dinner, work out, get things done around the house, and work on blog posts more!

Casual Favorites
12.08.2014

Sweater: Target (oversized; wearing size small) | Jeans: H&M | Boots: Vince Camuto via Nordstrom (30% off today!) | Hat: Prima Donna | Bag: H&M (similar) | Watch: Fossil (on sale here) | Bracelets: Margaret Elizabeth (in 'white druzy'), F21, Lily & Laura | Necklace: Rodi Boutique (similar) | Nails: Essie 'Fishnet Stockings' | Lips: L'Oreal 'Raisin Rapture'

Today I'm wearing one of my new favorite outfits, and I would probably wear this every day if I could get away with it. I wore this for Thanksgiving (sans hat), and then dressed it up for a church event last night with my hat and a pair of heeled booties. I lucked out and got my sweater on the clearance rack at Target and was so saddened to see that they are nearly sold out online! I would love to have probably every color in this, so I will be stalking the website for a restock haha. The good news is that they restocked a small in the color I'm wearing, and have one in a charcoal gray as well. I highly recommend it - it's so soft, hangs beautifully, and is soooo long!

Also, I added this Prima Donna stunner to my rapidly growing hat collection (I just counted and have now worn a hat in 5 straight blog posts - yikes). The quality is amazing for the price and that color... is the best.

Lastly, I wanted to share that my boots are 30% off today and a great price! As you've probably noticed, I wear these a ton and they're so comfortable and have that Stuart Weitzman look.

Fall Basics
11.26.2014

Top: Target | Jeans: Forever 21 (similar) | Hat: Prima Donna | Booties: Target | Bag: H&M (similar here, here)

Two things... I've been wearing hats in pretty much every post lately, and you are all probably getting sick of them!! In my defense, my hair got snowed and rained on today, and I didn't particularly feel like re-curling it, so my hat came to the rescue ;) Secondly, I'm sorry for the very odd timing of this post. I had the day off of work but was so busy and hadn't had a chance to shoot photos this week until this afternoon. Hence the late post! But hey, better late than never :)

I know I've done a lot of casual posts lately, but I wanted to share this turtleneck sweater/sweatshirt and booties that I grabbed at Target the other night! I've been wanting a Chelsea style bootie, and was so impressed with the quality and comfort of these for the [great] price.

I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Mizzou Style | Gold Tunic
11.21.2014

Today is the fourth and final installment of our Mizzou Style series! It's been so fun to come up with several looks with Elle and Jacqueline, and I hope we gave you some great outfit ideas for cheering your teams on, whichever they may be (just no Kansas Jayhawks please ;)).

Tunic: Forever 21 (on sale! | runs large, wearing size small) | Jeans: H&M | Jacket: Forever 21 (old | similar price point, next step up) | Hat: Prima Donna | Booties: DV by Dolce Vita (similar here, here) | Bag: Phillip Lim for Target (similar steal, 3.1 Phillip Lim) | Watch: Fossil

I actually wore this top for our second Mizzou Style post, but styled it a totally different way here. As a tall girl with a bootie, I always love finding tunic length tops and sweaters, so this Forever 21 find was an amazing steal.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! We have a Thanksgiving lunch at work today that I am waaayyy too excited about :)

November Wish List
11.13.2014

As we move into winter and holiday season, I just wanted to share a few pieces and trends I have my eye on at the moment!

- I just love the deep wine color of this J.Crew Factory blouse! I already have it in cream and love the long length and flattering fit, so I think I need to add this to my collection and replace my older and lesser quality burgundy tops. Plus it's equally workable for work & casual!

- I never thought I would wear any type of slip-on sneakers again, but gosh all of these leopard ones are so cute! The pair pictured are Steve Madden (available here & here), but I ordered a look-a-like from Payless (little nervous about that haha but only cost me $20), and Prima Donna does too.

- Loren Hope jewelry has absolutely stolen my heart, and I think these 'olive' studs are a beautiful color for winter.

- I want these Prima Donna Hats in just about every color! I've already purchased the black one (worn in this post), and I want to buy the tan and burgundy ones ASAP, but they also have navy, brown and gray. They're a great low-cost option for this fun and flattering trend!

- After a couple of years of going back and forth about faux fur vests (are they really me? would I actually wear one?), I've finally decided I'd like to have one. Now I just have to find a cute, flattering one (I want one that's not too bulky) for a low price! This H&M vest is a cute contender, but I'm not sure if I want a black vest or more of a gray-brown.

- I recently discovered these gorgeous OTN suede boots over on Little Miss Fearless and I'm in love! I don't know if this purchase is going to happen or not, but they had to go on my wish list.

- In my opinion, BaubleBar consistently makes the most gorgeous selection of statement earrings! This pair has been catching my eye lately and would be so pretty for the holiday season.

- And last but not least, have you all noticed how huge turtlenecks have become this fall? I'm on board, but it does crack me up because I remember hating turtlenecks when my mom made me wear them as a kid haha. If you love neutrals and layering, this striped J.Crew option seems to be the go-to this year (and is on the lovely Damsel in Dior today).

---

I hope you enjoyed and got some good shopping inspiration! I'll be starting my holiday gift guides next week, so make sure to check back for those :)

PS - I finally got my gold iPhone Six Plus in the mail yesterday and I'm so stinkin excited I just had to share! It's huge but so gorgeous (and perfect for my Instagram habit).

Sweater Dress
11.10.2014

Sweater dress: H&M (old, similar here, here, want this one) | Boots: Vince Camuto (25% off!) | Leggings: Express (30% off) | Hat: Prima Donna | Bag: H&M (similar here, here) | Necklace: Forever 21 (similar here, here) | Watch: Fossil | Bracelets: Margaret Elizabeth, Lily and Laura

This little sweater dress is from last year, but I couldn't wait to pull it out again with the cooler weather. I've worn it before with tights and heeled booties, but this was a fresh way to wear it more casually with leggings, boots and a hat (inspired by Alyson at Sequins & Things)! My black hat is a new find from Prima Donna and I'm so excited about it! There were several more expensive black hats that I had on my wish list, so I was so pleased to find this one for such a great price (just $25). Now I'm thinking of adding the burgundy and camel to round out my collection.

Annnddd, my amazing Vince Camuto boots that I want to wear every single day are 25% off right now at Nordstrom! I'm so happy with them and they look so much like the 50/50's that are out of most of our price ranges. (I've also linked 4 additional similar options below).
