Floral Embroidery is My Jam 6.19.2017

How is it already Monday?? This weekend did not feel long enough, even though we didn't have any big plans. It was so nice to relax and get a ton of stuff done at home though! I feel like I'm finally "caught up" around the house, although I still have a list of extras I'm always trying to get to (deep cleaning the bathroom, re-potting a couple of plants, painting nightstands, etc.). Please tell me I'm not the only one! 😉

This tee is such a great example of an 'elevated basic' - something I always look for when shopping! I love that it has floral embroidery (such a big trend right now!) and a cutout detail along the neckline. Crazily enough it's under $15! I am admittedly hesitant when ordering from Shein, but this top is such a pleasant surprise, and I genuinely recommend it if you've been looking for a little embroidered tee! I've worn it multiple times in the past week and a half 😜 They also have a similar option with a different neckline here.

I've blogged these shorts multiple times already (here & here for example), and they're definitely already one of my summer staples! I love them so much that I actually just ordered them in the lighter wash too. Hopefully the saying that you can't have too much of a good thing is true 😅

This outfit has been one of my go-to going out looks this summer! I love the variety of warm colors in this skirt (which was a mere $8 at Forever 21 last summer) and that I can easily pull in  black/dark accessories or light accents like I've done here!

Well this has been quite the week! My cousin, her son, and husband are moving from California to North Carolina and came through my hometown, so I drove home from school to visit them for a couple of days! AND, my sister has a huge swim meet at my school this whole week, so I've been able to see her swim, which I absolutely love to do! She had a day off from her meet today so we got to spend the day together, which I always treasure so much. It's amazing how much more you value time with your family once you've been away from them...

On another note, I love this little denim romper/jumpsuit for summer because of the cute striped denim fabric and the fun cutout in the back! I always love an opportunity to keep as cool as possible in the Missouri heat & humidity while still being at least slightly stylish! I always like to add in colorful accessories to keep this outfit upbeat and summery as well :)

My sister snapped these photos when we went downtown a few weeks ago for an evening walk, which is one of my favorite things to do in the summertime. This outfit was pretty much thrown together at the last minute, but sometimes those easy summery outfits are simply the best!

Tuesday Twist (featuring my light pink tulle skirt) will resume next week!
