Graphic Tee + Jean Jacket 9.21.2017

I saw this crape myrtle blooming on the side of the road, and pulled over to shoot right away! We don't have the SoCal bougainvillea here, but I felt this had a similar vibe. I'm also soaking up these end-of-summer blooms before winter comes along and everything is dead and brown for awhile 😪 

As you may have noticed on my Instagram stories, I've been wearing this tee a lot! I'm always looking for great graphic tees because they're so fun and versatile to style, and this one hits the mark! The colors, stripes, and fonts give it a vintage feel, and I love that the sleeves are sewn into a cuff! I got a size small and it fits perfectly - not too loose, yet still relaxed. I got to have a fun afternoon with my mom yesterday after wrapping up a meeting and some work in Springfield! I needed to head to the mall to shop for an upcoming collaboration, so she helped me pick stuff out and we made a fun day of it. Living 45 minutes away from my parents really isn't far at all, but some months I don't get to see my parents as much as I'd like, so I always cherish my time with them :)

Gingham, Surprisingly 5.10.2017

Gingham is having a moment this spring, and strangely enough, I'm liking it this go-around. I've honestly never been a big fan of gingham, but I like seeing it in non-preppy options, and it's definitely a nice light print for spring and summer.

I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July! My sister and our friend Sarah stayed with us over the weekend and we had so much fun! We didn't even do anything super special - it was just nice to get in some relaxing girl time before they both move [far away] at the end of the summer. We celebrated the 4th on Sunday night with a bunch of friends and family at Trey's brother's house, so yesterday we just relaxed and cleaned at home, which was much-needed.

I got this dress last week just in time for the 4th and it's exactly the red printed dress I've been looking for (remember how much I've been talking about red prints lately?! lol). It's currently on sale for $29 (holla!) and comes in two other really cute prints. I dressed it up for these photos last week, but I styled it more casually for Sunday's BBQ with these platforms and this lace choker, so I love that it's pretty versatile.

I think I mentioned this in another post recently, but Abercrombie has such cute and affordable clothes now! I crack up saying that thinking back to the days of overpriced graphic tees and low-rise flare jeans (I actually had never bought anything there until a few weeks ago), but they are definitely doing a good job of re-branding. I've ordered several things there lately and have loved everything! This tank that I'm wearing is just $20 and comes in 9 colors & prints, and I've been wearing this lace-up tank (on sale for $12!) non-stop.

So I know it's been a minute since I posted - I'm sorry for my absence! I had an awesome but busy weekend, which included a quick trip to Columbia to visit friends and attend a baby shower, a visit from my sister, and lots of time with Trey's family that's visiting from Florida. If you follow me on snapchat you may have seen that Trey and I got to snuggle some adorable babies yesterday! Trey's cousin and her husband have 10-month-old twins named Jeremiah and Jillian and we are juussstttt a little bit in love :) It's pretty funny because Jillian gets a little googly-eyed over Trey, and Jeremiah is my little buddy. I've been in heaven cuddling them and giving their parents a little bit of a break!
