Sweatshirt (also comes in gray; c/o Shopbop)  |  Jeans  |  Similar Ankle Boots  |  Similar Hats  |  Bag

I had to buy this Free People short-sleeve sweatshirt as soon as I saw it. It's so comfy + cute! I love that you can throw it on with jeans and sneakers to run errands, and then simply upgrade to an ankle boot and a couple of other accessories for a really cute casual look. It does run a little big though, fyi (I'm wearing a small).

Also, a few random shopping notes since I was absent from the blog last week....

My dusty blue Rebecca Minkoff bag is back in stock this spring! You can see it in posts here, here and here

I discovered a new-to-me brand called Re:named and ordered the cutest floral dress on sale for $42 that you'll see on here soon!

Abercrombie jeans are on sale for $35 today! I'm definitely going to order this high-waisted pair, but may pick out another pair too.

Sugarfix, the Baublebar x Target collection that I'm obsessed with, is buy-one-get-one 50% off both in-stores and online this week (through the 25th)! I have these star earrings and get so many compliments on them.

After looking for about a year and a half, I finally found the perfect faux leather jacket in my price range! For being on sale for only $60, it looks and feels very high end. I tried a small and extra-small and liked how the XS was a little slimmer in the waist.

I'm wearing a couple of other new pieces in this post too. My Quay "Playa" aviators are making their first appearance (I'm obsessed), as well as this long-sleeve tee from Express. I love that the tee is a basic with a twist because it has the choker detail. It's cute enough to stand on it's own, but also great for layering!

Happy Friday! We don't have any plans this weekend and I am 100% okay with that. I woke up in a cleaning mood, so today after work I want to get started on deep cleaning our house, and hopefully I'll be motivated to do that all weekend! I truly don't know how some of you guys keep your houses so clean! By the time I work 8-9 hours, workout, make dinner and clean up the kitchen, shower, and sit down to work on blog business, I'm already past my bedtime and exhausted. So if you're somehow balancing it all, I admire you so much! I have to note that my house would probably be cleaner without two indoor dogs...however, they are completely worth it :)

I got waaayyy off course there, but now we'll talk about the outfit (shot in KC). No part of this outfit is super new, because I've been making a conscious effort to restyle all of my fall wardrobe in new ways. I do find that much easier to do in the fall and winter fortunately!

These are my favorite jeans I own! You've seen me write it on here a hundred times, but they're ridiculously slimming (these somehow make my legs look skinnier than they are), super soft, and surprisingly affordable (under $65). This top is easily one of my most-worn tops this fall. It's lightweight and effortless, the lace-up neckline makes it interesting, and it can be styled so many ways. It looks like there are only a couple of sizes left in black online, but I also found it in burgundy and in cream

Anytime I need to cool it on shopping for a little while, I like to shop my own closet and restyle items I already have! When I purchase anything at all I try to think of at least 3 different ways I can style a piece, and with some items there are way more than 3 ideas. Since off-the-shoulder stuff has been in for awhile and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, I consider them a wardrobe staple, especially in black or white! These are all pieces I've had for 2-6 months but just styled together for the first time.

Also, I talked about my lip color on my Instagram story Saturday, but wanted to share in today's blog post as well! It's only $6 and is the perfect deep berry shade for fall. I also really like the texture! It's more moisturizing than a true matte lip cream, but still stayed in place for hours.

Heels: Steve Madden (currently 25% off!) | Bag: Zara

I love finding clothing with great details, so this little striped top with ruffles and tassels was a good find for me! I just like that when you have some interesting details or texture in your outfit, you can keep everything else more simple if you want. I love distressed jeans and my little embroidered/embellished bag for the same reason.

Do you have any fun plans this weekend?? We're heading to our alma mater, Mizzou, tomorrow for their game against Georgia and I can't wait to be back in one of my favorite places!

How was your 3-day weekend?? I would love to know what you did! We had a busy busy weekend, but it was a great one. Friday night the high school football team Trey coaches for beat their rivals in a really exciting game to move to 3-0, and then Saturday and Sunday we camped and were out on a lake with family and friends, which was an absolute blast! I didn't use my phone for 2 days, which was actually quite heavenly. I went tubing with Trey and some of my nieces and I'm seriously so beat up from it! I have several bruises and scrapes and it looks like I got into a fight haha. One of my knees is also so sunburnt! Yes, only one. I'm officially a mess. Thankfully yesterday I got some blog pictures knocked out with my blogger bestie Brianna, and then had some down time at the house to do laundry and binge watch One Tree Hill ;)

Now onto my outfit... I instantly fell in love with the dusty pink color of this tee! It looks a little more lavender in these pics due to the lighting, but the color on H&M's site is a bit more true-to-color. It's a tissue-tee, which I think looks really cute with a bralette underneath, but you can totally do a nude bra if you want to be a bit more conservative. It's also long in the back, which makes it perfect for tucking in the front! Last week you may have seen on my Snapchat (jacylenore) or Instagram story (is that what they're officially called??) that I got this necklace from Kendra Scott last week. I've worn it so much already and I think it's so stunning! I love that the gold is muted, and that the colors work with my entire fall/winter wardrobe.

I don't wear a lot of red, but this off-the-shoulder ruffled top was way too fun to pass up! It also comes in blush, which is super super cute.

I'm keeping it short today because I'm in the middle of another crazy work week, but school starts tomorrow in our school district, so hopefully next week is a little less hectic! Thank you ladies so much for stopping by. xo

Happy Friday! I'm sorry I've been pretty absent this week... I don't think I've ever had a more stressful/exhausting work week and have been working some pretty long hours, so getting this post up feels like an accomplishment!  Even though I will have more work to do at home over the weekend, I'll be excited to just be HOME (#introvertlife)!

Do you ever feel like a particular outfit is just "you"? That's how I feel with this one! I love simple outfits with a couple of edgier details + the colors are right up my alley here. I also have to rave about these tanks for a moment because they. are. the. best. This is my third color (sadly sold out at the moment) but there are at least 11 options and they're so cute. I wear my 3 tanks on a pretty constant rotation... They're really cute and flattering solo in the summer, but they're also perfect to layer under a blazer for work or under a cardigan or jacket in the fall and winter! Grab yoselves some ladies!

I hope you have a great weekend and get to have some R&R! xo
