pink blazer 4 ways {part 3}.
3.25.2013

Blazer: Forever 21 (similar here and here) | Jeans: American Eagle
Tee: Target | Heels: Target (old)
Necklaces: Forever 21 (similar here and here) | Spiked Bracelet: Forever 21 (similar)
Nails: 'Minted' by Revlon

First of all, I'm so sorry for the delay on my 3rd and 4th pink blazer looks! We've been hit with two different snow storms this week and it's been chaotic to say the least. Also, my dad took these photos...how awesome is he?!

But onto my outfit... This is probably my very favorite way to style a blazer because it's that perfect mix between casual and dressy. I hope to work in a business-casual work environment following graduation (in May - so soon!) and this is an example of what I'd love to wear to work :) A white v-neck and skinny jeans are staples that everyone should have in my opinion. Simply throw on a great pair of heels (black, colorful, wedges, whatever!) and a blazer and you've upgraded your white tee/jeans into a look that's sophisticated and trendy! I layered gold chain necklaces because they're some of my favorite jewelry pieces at the moment, and added a little extra color in my spiked bracelet and mint nails.

Boots: Land's End | Tank: PacSun (old)
Watch: Fossil (similar)

With spring just around the corner I wanted to spotlight this pastel pink blazer this month! Ironically, there were a couple of feet on the ground the other day when I shot these photos...so spring-like. Ha! While your blazer doesn't have to be pink, any colored or patterned blazer (think floral or stripes) is the perfect way to top off so many spring outfits! I almost didn't buy this blazer a couple of years ago because I wasn't sure if it would go with enough, but it's proven to be an extremely versatile piece in my wardrobe. Blazers are a great way to step up a casual look just a little bit, and of course are a classic dressy staple.

Top: Tobi | Jeans: American Eagle
Heels: Target (old) | Bracelets: vintage | Nails: Essie 'Sole Mate'
Necklace: Francesca's Collections (not online, but I love this one)

The peplum hemline has been one of my favorite trends to emerge in the past year, and I love that this shape was also popular in the 1940's, which is one of my favorite times in history for both fashion and the history itself! This ultra-feminine style is flattering on nearly everyone (hooray!), and I love it on skirts, dresses, jackets and tops. Let's hope it's hear to stay for awhile, yes?

Jacket: Banana Republic (similar low-end & high-end options)
Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Jeans: American Eagle
Bag: Aldo (old) | Heels: Target (old)

My parents gave me my very first *real* leather jacket for Christmas, and I've been wearing it every chance I get! It's the perfect neutral color and boxy cut for layering over so many different colors and silhouettes, and the quality is luxurious compared to my budget faux-leather jackets from F21. So, needless to say...awesome gift.

What awesome clothing items did you receive for Christmas??

finally.

Sweater: Forever 21 (old) | Jeans: American Eagle
Booties: Target | Scarf: Forever 21 (I love all the variations of this one)

Final exams are over and I'm finally home for Christmas break! Last night my family and I picked out and decorated our Christmas tree while listening to the Justin Beiber Christmas album and it was so so fun (it's the little things, right?).

As for this outfit, I know it's casual and not my most exciting ever, but it's cold and I'll admit that the jeans/scarf/boots look has replaced all of my cute skirts recently...sad day. I'm so excited to be on break for 5 weeks, which will give me time to dedicate to the blogging world once more! I apologize for neglecting all of you :)

Booties: Target | Watch: Fossil

Today I just wanted to show a casual look since my last post and upcoming post are both a little dressier! A plaid button-down is always such an easy thing to throw on, and I like layering them over other shirts as well. I just received these great suede wedge booties in the mail from Target today and they might already be my most comfortable shoes! I love that this style is super trendy right now, and these had a great price tag (link above if you're interested).

Happy weekend!

Anjolee necklace.
10.12.2012

Top: Francesca's (here). Skinny jeans: American Eagle (here). Booties: Target (here). Necklace: Anjolee (here).

I had the wonderful pleasure of getting to partner with Anjolee Jewelry recently and I absolutely love their things! Anjolee specializes in customizable diamond jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. Anjolee lets you choose your metal type, carat weight, diamond quality and other features, so you receive exactly the piece you want! They were fabulous to work with and got my necklace to me so quickly, which of course made me so so excited.

The necklace I'm wearing is the Surrounded by Sparkle Diamond Pendant. I love how delicate it is and that it's the perfect piece to throw on to add a little bit of sparkle to any outfit! I'm also in love with their Diamond Tennis Bracelets and gorgeous Diamond Earrings.

I hope you enjoyed and find something you love on their site...their jewelry is just fabulous!

criss cross.
10.05.2012

Blouse: Tobi.com (here and also a different color here at Sabo Skirt). Skinny jeans: American Eagle (here). Wedges: Mossimo from Target (here). Bag: Aldo (old). Watch: Fossil (here).

I have always been drawn to a more Bohemian aesthetic, but I've found that sometimes it's hard to make it look classy and put-together, and lately I've been trying to achieve that look more as I near the end of college. I fell in love with this gorgeous lilac criss-cross blouse immediately on Tobi.com because it's a perfect marriage of the two aesthetics (and it doesn't hurt that it's my favorite color)! Because of the extra-flowy fit, I styled it with my American Eagle jeggings, which have proven to be my favorite skinny jeans of all time, and topped off the look with a colorful bag and shoes!
