Effortless Off-the-Shoulder Dress
6.01.2017

stripe off-the-shoulder dress

Every spring and summer I look for effortless dresses that are lightweight, comfortable and stylish...and this is one of those! I love that it can be dressed up a bit for dinner, worn casually to a summer BBQ, or for sightseeing and shopping. Every time I wear this dress I find myself keeping it on at the house because it's just so comfortable! Sadly I can't find the stripes in stock anywhere online 😢 (will let you know on IG if it comes back!), but I found it in stock in all sizes in the floral pattern here!

Also, these Quay sunglasses that I keep stealing borrowing from Brianna, are now on sale for just $27! I just ordered the light pink for myself but they come in 3 other colors too!

We made it to Williamsburg, Virginia yesterday afternoon and finally got a good night of sleep last night after staying up all night the night before! We're going to a winery this afternoon, so obviously I'm v. excited about today's plans 😂

Minimal Midi Dress
7.12.2016

Dress: c/o Maude Boutique (wearing a small) | Heels: Steve Madden
Clutch: Clare V (less expensive option here) | Sunnies: Karen Walker (cheaper option here)
Necklace: Kendra Scott | Lips: MAC 'velvet teddy' w/ liner in 'whirl'

I was a little nervous about whether or not I could pull off this dress, but as soon as I tried it on I loved it. It's extremely flattering because it's lengthening and hugs all the right places, and I feel that the quality far exceeds the price point (isn't that always a great surprise??). I also love that it's minimal, but has chic, interesting details like the front slit, back cutout, and unique seaming at the top. I chose to dress it up with minimal accessories, but it could definitely be dressed down with simple slide sandals or platform shoes and a choker necklace.

Hope you're having a great day!

Floral Midi Dress / Outdoor Wedding Outfit

Dress: Amuse Society (available here, or in another color here) | Sunnies: Free People ($20 & 10 colors!)
Heels: ASOS (similar here & here) | Bag: Zara (new version here)
Lip Color: MAC liner in 'whirl' + lipstick in 'velvet teddy'

You may have seen on my Instagram, but this is what I wore for my brother-in-law's outdoor wedding over the weekend! It was such a beautiful wedding, but omg it was hot! This is a little less dressy than what I would normally wear to a wedding, but I felt like with an outdoor afternoon wedding that I could go a bit more casual and breezy, and it worked out just fine. I love this dress because I'll be able to style it different ways all summer and fall! How cute will it be with suede ankle boots and a jacket and hat?! Or belted with slide sandals for a summer casual look...love!

I shared some other summer wedding attire options in this recent post if you're in the market!

Burgundy Midi Dress

Dress: c/o Maude Boutique (wearing size small) | Heels: Steve Madden
Clutch: Clare V (similar for less) | Lips: MAC 'whirl' pencil + 'velvet teddy' lipstick

I love burgundy for the fall and winter, but don't often see it for summer. Cue my instant love for this dress! The color is so flattering, and I absolutely love the pretty boho pattern and low back. I also like how versatile it can be... I dressed it up with more of an outdoor wedding in mind in this post, but also plan to wear it with flat strappy sandals and a hat for a more casual, boho vibe.

This is a complete change of subject, but do you have any favorite workouts on Youtube or elsewhere that you can do at home?? I'm trying to workout a little bit more often to tone up for summer, and need some new workouts to motivate me! I really like Tone it Up workouts on Youtube, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something good :)

Camouflage
8.28.2015

Dress: H&M (similar) | Jacket: LOFT (on sale + extra 50% off! I have an XS)
Flats: Franco Sarto (want these) | Hat: Forever 21 (only $12!)
Bag: Vince | Sunnies: Ray-ban c/o Ditto (use code 'lovelenore' for a free month subscription!)

You are probably wondering why the heck I named this post 'camouflage' when I am not wearing an ounce of camo. Well, that's an excellent question... I was trying to find a couple of new spots to shoot yesterday evening and came across this simple white wall with nice light. Sounds great, right? It totally is...minus the fact that my dress just blends right into it. Like pretty much disappears. If you follow me on Snapchat (username = jacylenore) you probably saw a photo I was going to use but that ultimately didn't make the cut because you couldn't even see that I had boobs. I mean, mine are minimal to begin with, but they literally vanished into the wall. Still love the photo location... But I think I'll save it for darker outfits ;)

As for what you can see of my outfit... It's still pretty dang warm here but I'm mentally moving onto fall clothes. This simple cotton dress is great for warmer temps, but by adding lots of black, a wool hat, and close-toed shoes it feels quite transitional, yes? If it was cooler I would actually wear the denim jacket, but as of right now it's being used solely in overly air conditioned establishments.

Anyways, thanks for putting up with my weird chitter-chatter, and have a fantastic weekend!

Simple Midi Dress
8.02.2015

Dress: H&M (sold out; similar here, here and more below!)
Bag: Vince c/o Shopbop | Sandals: Steve Madden (sold out; similar for less)
Bracelet: Margaret Elizabeth | Lipstick: MAC 'Hot Gossip'

I mentioned this dress in last week's midi/maxi dress post, as well as this Instagram post, but I absolutely love it! It's the perfect go-to dress to slip on for so many different occasions. Not only is it super comfy, but it's slimming and goes with any kind and color of accessories. Much to my chagrin, my exact dress sold out over the weekend before I got this post up, so I found you several nearly identical options below.

What I love about this classic and flattering style is that it's simple to throw on when it's hot, but it also makes an amazing layering foundation heading into fall. I just bought a super long cardigan the other day that will look adorable over this with booties and a hat, and I also love this cut of dress with a classic jean jacket.

Midi/Maxi Dresses
7.30.2015

For some reason this summer all I want to wear is dresses! Even with it being as hot as it is right now, I'm kind of dreading wearing jeans when it cools off in the fall and winter. Dresses are just so much easier (and comfier)! I tend to be really inspired by the style in places I visit, and every time I visit California I just feel like my style is 'at home' there... Lots of sundresses, neutrals, earth tones, breezy cotton, stripes, white, distressed denim...and minimal, slightly bohemian style. It's like all of my favorite fashion things wrapped up in one place!

I've bought dresses more than anything else this summer and am especially loving midi and maxi dresses at the moment. You can slip one on and your outfit is nearly complete! I purchased this simple midi for $7 (go order it right now!), and really really want this boho maxi, this midi in the stripes, and this off-the-shoulder maxi.

Click the images to shop! Most of these are well under $40 (6 are even under $20!), but a few are in the $50-70 range.
Anyone else going a little dress crazy this season?
