Top (c/o)  |  Jeans  |  Heels  |  Earrings (c/o)  |  Lipstick ('matte naked')

On Saturday we had the craziest 75 degree day and it was the most amazing thing in the middle of February! I took the opportunity to shoot this pretty spring top since spring is [hopefully] right around the corner and of course I'm already thinking ahead with outfit ideas and things I want to buy!

Since this top is quite feminine, I decided to 'tone it down' with ripped jeans, and loved the juxtaposition of the two.

**Edit: When I published this post this morning I totally wasn't thinking about it being Valentine's Day, but Happy VDay girls! Do you have any special plans?? Trey and I are keeping it more low-key this year and just going out tonight for sushi and drinks. I'm so excited for a little date night :) Last year we did a fancy weekend getaway and dressed up and gave each other nice gifts, but with our home reno projects coming up we were both completely content with a date night and the chance to spend some time together!

Leather Earrings c/o Nickel & Suede

When Nickel and Suede recently reached out to work with me, I was so excited to discover their gorgeous jewelry. They're really unique because their earrings are made of lightweight leather! I looovvve statement earrings, especially with spring and summer outfits, but they can be so heavy and often by the end of the day my ear lobes are throbbing and I have a headache (I fully realize how ridiculous that all sounds-haha). Nickel & Suede's earrings are so comfortable to wear though and you barely feel them at all because they're made of leather! Also, how cute are they?? I've been wearing my blush pair so often because they look so great with my other nude accessories, and I styled the metallic pair in this outfit post. I also think the tan pair will look so cute with a white sundress when it warms up a bit more! I'm so excited to have a giveaway for $50 to N&S over on my Instagram!

As most of you know, I'm a Missouri girl. I grew up in Springfield, went to college in Columbia (MIZ!), and now live in a smaller town kind of in between. So, when I read that Nickel & Suede was started by a Kansas City-area couple and is based there, I loved them even more! I can't recommend their earrings enough, they're priced at only $25 (perfect for gifts!), and I just love supporting a company run by wonderful people with a unique product.

In other news... My best friend is getting married this weekend, so I'm heading to the rehearsal dinner after work and Trey and I will be there most of the weekend. I'm so excited to be reunited with some of my very dearest friends that live in other states and party with them all weekend! ;) I hope you have a great weekend as well!

Thank you so much to Nickel & Suede for sponsoring this post! This is a company & product that I genuinely love and will purchase from in the future!

Swing Dress
4.27.2015

Dress: Old Navy (25% off today w/ code 'secret'! | roomy fit-wearing size S) | Sandals: Steve Madden via Nordstrom | Hat: Sole Society | Bag: old Kenneth Cole (want this bag) | Chambray Shirt: old F21 (similar) | Bracelet: Loren Hope | Nails: China Glaze 'Dance Baby' | Lips: MAC 'Lickable'

I've had this super comfy cotton swing dress from Old Navy (who has 25% off site-wide today with code 'SECRET') for a few weeks now, but wanted to wait and style it with my new black sandals! I searched high and low last summer before our honeymoon for a pair of simple, ankle-strap black sandals and there just weren't any in my price range. So when I found these a couple of months ago I knew I had to buy them this spring! They're exactly what I wanted and so comfy, and look really cute with shorts and jeans too. Now I want the coral as well!

I hope you had a great weekend! I caught up on cleaning and TV shows, did a few workouts (so I'm sore today), and we started planning our next home renovation project (hopefully the master bath), so it was a great couple of days off. Hopefully this Monday goes by just as quickly! ;)
