Christmas Day Outfit
12.28.2014

Vest: Target (sold out online, but bought in-store a couple of weeks ago (size XS) | similar here, here) | Top: J.Crew Factory (size small) | Skirt: Target (similar here, here) | Booties: Elliott Lucca (also available here) | Tights: Express | Watch: Fossil | Bracelets: Loren Hope, Margaret Elizabeth

As promised, I'm sharing my Christmas Day outfit! Even though we do my family's Christmas at my parents' house and it's a fairly small gathering, my sister and I always like to dress up a bit and wear something fun. I got this faux fur vest (my first ever) at Target a few weeks ago and I'm so sad that it's now sold out online, but I would say there's a good chance it's still in lots of stores for those of you who are interested/asked on Instagram :)

In case you missed it, you can check out my Christmas blog post here!

Coated Denim
12.10.2014

Top: J.Crew Factory (50% off today!) | Coated denim: H&M | Heels: Prabal Gurung for Target (similar here, here, here) | Purse: Tobi (old | similar, love this one) | Watch: Fossil (on sale here) | Bracelets: Margaret Elizabeth, F21

Today I'm sharing my first dressed up holiday look of the season. This outfit is pretty simple (black and cream...shocker, right?) and not overly dressy, but it would be great for a more laid-black holiday party, a concert, or church event. These coated denim skinnies are so fun and I've been dying to wear them! I love that they give you that edgy, almost-leather look without having to fully commit to leather (because I'm personally terrified of seeing my derriere situation in leather).

I hope you're having a great week so far! I got to attend my first So You Think You Can Dance tour show last night and was just blown away! I've watched every single season since season 1 (this was season 11), so I'm a huge fan of the show and it was amazing to see some of my favorite pieces performed live. This is my favorite dance from this past season - so gorgeous! (For those of you who don't know, I danced my entire life until around age 20, so I apologize for all of the gushy dance talk haha).

Holiday Season Attire
1.01.2014

 Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Skirt: Francesca's
Booties: DV by Dolce Vita | Tights: Express (the best tights...honestly!)
Necklace: Forever 21 (similar here and here) | Bow bangle: Forever 21

I completely meant to post this outfit sometime between Christmas and New Years...but a lot of family time and relaxation took place instead. So, this is a bit late considering that it's now New Years Day, but I'm still loving this outfit! It was my favorite holiday part look from the last couple of weeks. Lately, I've been so into wearing dresses and skirts over tights with boots and booties! It was definitely my go-to for many holiday gatherings.

I hope you had a fun and safe NYE! Thank you all for following along in 2013 - it truly means the world to me. I'm so excited for 2014! It's going to be such a fantastic {and busy} year.

Hello everyone! I hope you had a Merry Christmas!

I can honestly say that it was the best Christmas of my life. My boyfriend Trey asked me to be his wife last night, and I couldn't be happier! I'll be sharing more on our engagement in a post this weekend...can't wait!

Holiday Outfit Inspiration
12.22.2013

With so many holiday festivities taking place, it can be challenging to come up with different outfits that are perfect for each occasion without driving yourself mad! I'm in the midst of 6 straight days of Christmas parties and family celebrations, so I was in desperate need of a little inspiration to keep mixing up my looks and existing wardrobe! There were multiple occurrences (and/or meltdowns) over the weekend where I was wishing I could just buy some entirely new outfits, but with a little inspiration it's totally doable to mix & match your existing wardrobe into some fun holiday looks.

Lately I've SO been loving skirts over tights with riding boots or booties! This is the perfect way to tone down a skirt a bit, since most of us realistically don't wear fabulous heels to family shindigs. Pairing a skirt with a sweater or blouse & some glam jewelry is the perfect way to wear it for Christmas and the colder weather!

For a more casual holiday gathering, I love the idea of a cozy sweater glammed up with a fur vest & some lipstick!! It's warm and very wearable, but still fun.

The cozy aztec cardigan trend is one of my favorites right now! I love that it can take you from leggings & slippers on Christmas morning, to your family meal in the afternoon by just adding some jeans and heels!

Sweater dresses are just perfect for the holidays. They're easy to dress up or down, which is great when you're going from one party to another. I have a new one that I'm planning to pair with black tights & booties on Christmas Eve!

I love this outfit idea for a casual holiday gathering with family and/or friends! The scarf & headband add a festive touch and the overall look is my favorite - 'cozy cute.'

And finally, if you have a fancy Christmas party to attend, this look could not be a better match! Red + leopard are holiday season perfection, and the tights & booties are an adorable wintery addition.

I hope this helped get your creative juices flowing! I'll be back on Christmas Eve / Tuesday with a holiday party look from this weekend! Can't believe Christmas is so soon - EEK.
