Do you ever laugh at some of the trends that are coming back in? I feel like I'm reliving my childhood to tween years with chokers, Adidas sneakers, and denim mini skirts, but I'm not going to lie...I love all of those things. If you had told me a couple of years ago that I would be blogging a denim mini skirt in 2016 I would have laughed at you, yet here we are.
I've been on a bit of a budget lately and haven't been buying a ton of new clothes (anyone else feel my pain on this one??), so I challenged myself to style this skirt with all existing items in my closet. My utility jacket and black Topshop tank are two of my biggest closet staples, and you've probably noticed how often I wear them. Then I grabbed accessories that I felt pulled the look together, and I feel like my double buckle belt is the real rockstar of the bunch.
As for denim minis... I think I'm embracing them more and more by the day. I've gathered up some of my favorite finds below, and I have to say that this black one is probably my favorite!
I can't tell you how happy I am that it's almost the weekend. The last few weeks of work have just about killed me (hah)! Hopefully I will be back to blogging more frequently starting next week. For those of you who don't know, my husband Trey is a high school football coach. Their first game is tonight, so I'm excited to hit the road with some family after work to cheer on his team! It's my favorite kind of Friday night :)
