I apologize for the site problems last night and this morning, but everything should be up and running now!

This has kind of been my go-to throw-on casual look lately! I love how easy and comfy it is, and it's the perfect transitional outfit to warmer weather.

All-Black

Sweater: H&M (LOVE this similar sweater in 3 color options) | Leggings: Zella
Ankle Boots: Seychelles (love these for a little less) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Hat: ASOS | Lip Color: MAC 'velvet teddy + liner in 'whirl'

Now that we're in the dead middle of winter I'm definitely gravitating toward my collection of black and gray more than ever. I always have my eye out for good black and gray sweaters because they can be mixed and matched with so much. Just give me a black or gray sweater in a tunic length and I'm sold! When I'm having one of those days when I desperately want/need a slimming outfit or simply don't know what to wear, my uniform this time of year has definitely become a long sweater with leggings or skinny jeans. I know this isn't anything very original, but I just feel great in that type of look. I do try to use accessories and makeup to keep things interesting though... Hats are obviously a common choice for me and will truly add a great 'pop' to your look (beanies count too!). But you can also reach for some heeled ankle boots, over-the-knee boots, a scarf, an interesting bag, or even a pop of color on your lips. Layering a leather or suede jacket, or a faux fur vest, adds yet another level of interest to your look as well.

So, those are just some of my tips for spicing up your collection of basics. I definitely like to put my money toward my staple pieces, and then add in great accessories and layers here and there as I can!

xo,
Jacy
