HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

For being a short week it sure felt awfully long. We don't have many plans this weekend so I'm really looking forward to laying low... cleaning, working out, photographing some outfits, sleeping. All that amazing, boring stuff. I sound so old...

This top is probably one of my favorite Forever 21 finds ever because I've gotten to wear it so much, and it's just so stinkin cute (also worn here)! They restocked it in a couple of very similar versions here and here.

Have a fabulous weekend babes! xo

Jeans: McGuire Denim ('Majorelle' in 'revel revel')  |  Sunnies: Karen Walker
Choker: ASOS  |  Bag: Zara

I know I say it every time I wear these flare jeans, but I am absolutely obsessed with them! The denim is so soft, and every time I put them on I feel like I'm having a Rachel Zoe moment. In my book, that's an amazing, glamorous thing! This outfit is very voluminous, but for some reason I felt it worked. Also, kind of dying over that dappled light!

I also neeeed to share that my embroidered Zara bag (yes, the one I've worn in my last 5 outfit posts) is back in stock! I've gotten quite the mixture of compliments and weird remarks about it, but I'm a big fan, so that's all that really matters, right? ;)

I hope you ladies have a great weekend! This will be my first weekend at home in a month, so I'm giddy with excitement to just chill and try to get over the nasty chest cold I have! I get to do my oldest niece's hair and makeup tomorrow for her first homecoming dance, and I'm so excited about it - she's going to look extra stunning!

I have to talk about these flares for a second, because they've ended up being such a good purchase. They're so elongating, and the denim is soft and comfortable! I wear them even more than I anticipated and feel like a million bucks when I do. Speaking of wearing something more than expected... I fell in love with this shade of blue that Rebecca Minkoff has out right now, but didn't know how much I would actually use this bag. I've found that I use it so much more than expected though! It goes with so much of my wardrobe, adds a subtle pop of color to my outfits, and is just a chic, unique color. This similar Rebecca Minkoff bag is majorly marked down in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and comes in the same shade of blue as well as a pretty tan color. I love it just as much as mine!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale / #NSale opens to the public late tonight/tomorrow, so I'll be sharing all of my favorites that are still available in tomorrow's post! Once it opens up tomorrow, things will likely sell out really fast, so if you've been eyeing something I would be prepared to buy it tomorrow morning. I'll chat more in tomorrow's post, but I ordered these booties and think I need this jacket for sure. Of course, there are at least 20 other things I want though! ;)

Scarf: Zara (similar here & here) | Bag: Forever 21
Bralette: Urban Outfitters | Wedges: Target (similar)

I'm not going to lie and say that I wasn't a super slow adopter of the neck tie trend, because I was definitely skeptical for awhile. I've finally come around though, and I love that they can add a fashion forward touch to even the most simple of outfits. I've linked several cute options below (some come in multiple colors/prints) if you're in the market! I especially love this little scarf in the rose print - adding to my cart!

Also, I have to give a shoutout to Megan of For All Things Lovely for sharing about this tank and bralette, both from Urban Outfitters! This is the perfect soft, drapey, relaxed tank! It comes in 9 colors and is 30% off, so I will definitely be purchasing more of them! They'll be perfect to layer with all fall and winter as well. These bralettes are comfy, beautiful, and work perfectly with those tanks.

On another note, I think we're starting our master bath reno tonight! It's been a long time comin'. If so, I will try to get a snapchat of the "before" (it's heinous) later today. We have pretty much everything purchased except the vanity, and we're thinking of having Trey's brother custom build one for us and then doing a quartz countertop on top. Do any of you have experience with this?? What advice do you have for a bathroom renovation?? We're doing it ourselves with the help of family and I'm scared!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was pretty non-stop busy, but the weather was really nice (for the Midwest in January), so that totally got my hopes up that spring is around the corner haha. In the meantime though, I'm still bundling up in my favorite hats, scarves and sweaters. I picked up this classic camel scarf for under $20 last year at Forever 21 and it's definitely become a winter staple for me. I don't own a lot of camel and tan, but my scarf, hat and ankle boots all get a lot of wear because they're such a nice compliment to black, gray and denim tones.

I hope your Monday is off to a smooth start! I definitely have a hot coffee in my future. xx

Fringe + Flares

Sweater: H&M (more fringe options here & here) | Flares: ASOS (similar here & here)
Hat: ASOS | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Ankle Boots: Seychelles

Oh Monday...you are especially depressing after the holidays. Trey and I were so blessed to get two weeks off for the holidays this year and it's rather unbelievable how fast that went by. It probably has greatly to do with the fact that we watched an absurd amount of movies, Netflix and DVR'd shows! Have any of you watched "Making a Murderer" on Netflix?? Oh my word... It's one of the most intriguing things I've ever watched! We binge watched it like crazy Saturday night and last night. It definitely raises a lot of questions...phew.

Now onto my outfit... I've styled this sweater in two other blog posts previously (here & here) and there are truly so many ways to style it! I kind of forget to pull out my flared jeans, but I'm always pleasantly surprised by how flattering they are. I think every girl needs a pair of long flares in her life!

xo,
Jacy
