Best of the 2014 Met Gala

Celebrity and red carpet style is something I don't cover often, but I loved so many looks from the 2014 Met Ball last night that I was dying to do a post.

My Best-Dressed:

 1. Blake Lively in Gucci
I will try to contain myself from gushing too much, but I mean... Flawless! Blake has been my #1 girl crush for years (since the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants days...seriously), and she kills it on the red carpet every single time. I can't even handle the glamour!

So good I had to post another. They might be the most beautiful couple in the world.

2. Emma Stone in Thakoon
This girl is another perennial favorite of mine, and I absolutely loved this red carpet look! You already know how much I'm loving crop tops right now, and I loved that her look was fashion-forward but still so wearable and tasteful.

3. Rachel McAdams in Ralph Lauren
I loved this understated look on Rachel, and that blush color is to-die-for. She just exudes understated elegance!

4. Toni Garrn in Topshop
This girl is a killer model to begin with, but she stunned on the red carpet last night! The ice blue stood out from red carpet standards, and I loved the volume of her dress.

5. Jessica Paré in Michael Kors
The print is so unexpected and I just love it! Her red lipstick was the perfect final touch, too.

6. Kate Bosworth in Stella McCartney
More pink, and I'm loving it! Kate absolutely glowed in this color, and I loved the delicate shape and cutouts.

7. Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham
I loved this sleek and simple silhouette, and she pulls it off to perfection! Having David on her arm sure didn't hurt either... :)

8. Anne Hathaway in Calvin Klein
Another perfect example of crop tops done perfectly. The sliver of abs is just enough, and I thought she looked radiant in red!

Runners up: Emmy Rossum in Carolina Herrera, Allison Williams in Oscar de la Renta, Kendall Jenner in Topshop, Gisele Bundchen in Balenciaga, Taylor Swift in Oscar de la Renta, Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney

My Best in Beauty:

1. Emma Stone
I couldn't believe she wore a messy side braid to such a fancy event, but it was absolutely perfect and played off of the playful feel of her crop top and skirt!
2. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
It's hard to mess-up beauty-wise when you're this stinkin gorgeous, but Rosie looked especially radiant last night! I loved her subtle winged eyeliner and coral/rose lipstick.

3. Taylor Swift
As much as I didn't like her cropped 'do at first, I have to admit she's done a great job styling it. Her curls are perfect, and I loved the red lip with her blush pink gown.

4. Rachel McAdams
I felt her beauty look was perfectly styled with her simple, elegant gown. Her rose lipstick looked gorgeous on her too!

5. Blake Lively
I saved her for last because she's so unbelievably glamorous. That hair!!!!  And lipstick. And lashes. Can I just be her??

I hope you enjoyed my fashion and beauty roundup! Is this something you'd like to see more in the future?

  7. Blake, HANDS DOWN! She is my fave! I like Emma Watson's outfit too... very similar to what Leslie Mann wore to one of the premieres of The Other Woman, who doesn't love good color blocking?!

So effortlessly gorgeous and on trend.
And of course Blake Lively looks absolutely amazing as always. But I feel like she could have shown up in a garbage bag and pulled it off.
