bold stripes.

Striped dress: Forever 21. Cross-body purse: Forever 21. Beaded sandals: Minnetonka. Bracelet: gifted. Rings: H&M and vintage.

Well, I'm officially aboard the stripes train. I couldn't pass up this cute, casual number! I liked that it was a summery dress, but not necessarily a sundress, you know? Now that I'm seeing it in photos I'm realizing this may not be my most flattering dress, but I do still love the bold stripes! I also am finding that because of the two dominant stripe colors & wide, simple pattern, that this is the perfect outfit to throw in accent colors and patterns with. I've done this with a little striped cross-body bag, Navajo-inspired sandals, and fun rings.

I also started my summer internship this week! Besides the tremendous amount of information & skills I'm having to pick up in a quick manner, I really like everyone I work with and love having my own desk, company email address and extension (I'm finally feeling a little bit more like a grown-up haha). Since it's a casual office, I think this dress will be a perfect little number to wear into my internship!

Coral lace dress: Forever 21. Nude suede heels: Target. Statement feather earrings: Aldo. Gold seashell bracelet: vintage. Lavender nail color: "Rumple's Wiggin" by OPI.
I'm not typically a common wearer of pink, but I couldn't pass up this gorgeous little number when I saw it online a couple of months ago. I absolutely adore this coral shade and love that it's lace, one of this season's prettiest & most prominent trends. I was happily surprised by the floral detail in the lace when it arrived on my doorstep, and have been waiting for the perfect occasion at which to wear it.
I will be wearing this pretty little number to my sister's senior piano & violin recital and high school graduation on Sunday, and think it will be the perfect choice! I chose to do more simple accessories because of the striking color of the dress, and love this simple little seashell bracelet that once belonged to my late grandmother.

Now you all can see where my new blog banner came from! My talented photographer friend, Jordyn, scouted out this amazing wall & location, which proved to be just perfect for this outfit! Check out her Facebook photography page here: Jo Photography.

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

Romper: Forever 21 (old). Wedges: Steve Madden. Silver bracelet: Vintage. Wing earrings: Target.

Ever buy that trendy piece that you only expected to wear a few times? That was me, with this loudly printed romper. Not only is it highly recognizable, but it's a romper......and I mean, did anyone really expect these to be in style for more than one season?
Ok, well maybe not everyone is rushing out to purchase a romper or playsuit this summer, but I still think the style is pretty darn cute. Doesn't it just scream summer fun?! I've found this piece to be perfect for many different occasions: dinner & a movie with the boyfriend, a summer barbecue, wanting to look cute for class on a warm day...

This romper is proof that a trendy, statement item doesn't have to just be worn one way, for one thing, or for one season. And isn't that the best?

Do you all have any items like this that you've been able to wear more than you expected or have been able to style more ways than one??

Ruffle strapless top: Forever 21. Aztec-inspired skirt: Nollie from PacSun. Clutch: vintage. Wedges: Steve Madden. Bracelet & rings: gifted or vintage. Earrings: Aldo.

Where to start..... Well, I am obsessed with this outfit! I ordered this little pink strapless top online a few weeks ago, not knowing what I was going to pair it with, but absolutely loving the color and giant ruffle...so being the shopaholic that I am, I bought it!

I consider this Aztec-inspired skirt more of a fall/winter item because of its deeper colors, but somehow it just worked perfectly when styled this way (don't you love it when that happens?). Also, I purchased this little vintage clutch probably two years ago in a random little vintage shop and never wore it (surprise surprise)....but, I think I might have to now, don't you think? :)

Also, did you notice my new banner?? I'm smitten. With the amazing growth of my blog as of late, I felt it was time to upgrade and my incredibly talented friend, Jordyn, designed this little number for me. She also took these photos, and as you can see, she's madly skilled and makes me look way better than I typically do! Check out her Jo Photography page here! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for reading lovely!

Wing earrings: Target.
Woven platform heels: Aldo Shoes.
Watch: Fossil. Bangles: A gift to my sister from China. Spoon ring & sparkly ring: vintage. Diamond-shaped ring: Nordstrom. Nail color: "Cotton Candy" by Revlon.
Ruffled top: Steve Madden. Black mini: Target.

A simple little black skirt is completely essential to one's wardrobe in my opinion. I have several versions and get so much use out of them because they can easily be reinvented in so many ways!
I love this outfit, and this top especially, because I feel it can be worn for a multitude of things and easily dressed up or down depending on the accessories, shoes, and jewelry paired with it (always a "win" in my book!).

Thank you to my sister, Tessa, for shooting these photos...I love this cool location we spotted!

Strapless top: Kirra from PacSun. Skirt: California boutique find. Brown leather bracelet: American Eagle. Silver bracelet: vintage.
I actually bought this full tangerine skirt years ago during a visit to California and just couldn't turn down all of the unique detailing. Asymmetrical stitching, a rose detail, and adjustable synching make this skirt quite the standout from your average maxi skirt.
While I don't know if I'll be wearing this one out and about anytime soon in my day-to-day activities, I'm in love with the color and unique quality of this skirt, and my sister & I loved its pretty contrast in this expansive field near our home!

Booties: Aldo Shoes.
Nails: "Sunshine Sparkle" by Revlon. Watch: Fossil. Everything else: vintage or gifted.
Olive skirt: Forever 21. Black tank: Old Navy. Scarf: Aldo.
Sunnies & coral bag: Aldo.

My friend Claire, who I featured in my last post, snapped these photos a few days ago when we went out to get sushi!

This outfit is truly an example of budget dressing because most of these pieces were quite inexpensive (which should probably be a must for me on a college student's budget).
I've always loved olive green, but it tends to be more of a fall color since it's darker....but naturally I had to incorporate some dark and neutral colors into my spring wardrobe, which I've done by mixing in bright accessories!

Thanks (as always) for reading!
