Trey & I got to go golfing with my sister and dad a few weeks ago and it was perfect :)

My sister, Tessa, got to come visit me up at school and it was amazing...isn't she a cutie??

I've been on the hunt for a new floral scarf to sport this spring and found this adorable little version at Aerie! I'm sure I'll be featuring it in a post in the near future :)

I wore this new pink & yellow floral blouse from Forever 21 to one of my roommate's 21st birthday party! I loved how it matched my "Cake Pink" nails by Revlon.

Here's a little snapshot from the party with two of my best friends & roommates, Ashley & Kelsie.

transitions. 4.25.2012

Rings: vintage. Bangles: a gift to my sister from China.

Nails: Essie "Smokin' Hot." Watch: Fossil. Sparkly ring: vintage. Infinity ring: a gift.

Red skinnies: Bullhead Black Denim from PacSun. White tee: Hanes.

Suede platform pumps: Mossimo from Target. 

Colored skinny jeans are such a huge trend right now, but pastels seem to be more typical this springtime. I purchased this red pair back in December, but I'm not content with letting them sit in the bottom drawer of my dresser during these warmer months!

SO, I've been dreaming up ways to make these pants a transitional piece that can work all year long. Here, with a simple white tee & nude heels, they feel much lighter. I'm looking forward to wearing them with beaded sandals & breezy tanks this summer.

Floral sundress and black braided sandals: Target.

I scored this cute little sundress last summer at Target for somewhere around $20 and love its defined waist and how simple it is to throw on. However, I've been pushing myself to work with layering lately (not typically a strength of mine) and this adorable lace vest has been hanging in my closet just waiting for an opportunity to shine. I like these together because they really change up this otherwise simple dress, making it possible for me to wear it two different ways!

I wore this little outfit to a recent dinner with my family where we enjoyed a delicious Italian feast (my favorite)! I was so happy that our lilac bushes were in bloom at the time and that my sister was willing to snap these photos :)

I snatched up this cute little top on sale a few months ago in the dead of winter and have been saving it for spring weather! Needless to say, I'm glad I can break out this pretty print now. 

I've been carrying this oversized coral bag for the past few weeks and it feels perfect for this spring with coral being such a big focus :)

Easter dress :) 4.09.2012

I hope everyone had a fun & beautiful Easter Sunday! Mine was really relaxed this year...we went to church and then watched The Masters. 

Sorry for the pretty basic photos, but I just wanted to capture at least a snapshot of how I dressed up for Easter! I love this little striped dress I scored from Forever 21 :) I really like that it's striped and also coral, which you all know I'm a little obsessed with. I plan to do a more detailed feature on this dress in the future :)

sweet spring. 4.04.2012

Woven heels: Aldo Shoes.

Striped tank: Forever 21. Chiffon maxi skirt: Forever 21.

I have always primarily worn neutrals and pastels, so I'm loving the trendy colors this spring! 

Another trend that I'm especially loving is maxi dresses and skirts. I bit into this style a few years back when I purchased a couple of long dresses, but this year I'm also investing in maxi skirts! What I really like about this style is that it's so pretty and chic, but simple to style and really comfortable. 

This spring and summer I plan to style this particular skirt with a lot of different tank tops in many colors (the beauty of a great neutral piece!) and both sandals and heels!
