Flats: Old Navy (sold out) | Necklace & bracelet: vintage

Well, we got pummeled with two snow storms... I'm telling you this is for two reasons: 1) I was going to do an Oscar's best dressed post, but our Internet was out for over a day and now I feel that the Oscar's buzz has passed as it's now been nearly 3 days (cue sad face...I Love Oscars gowns). 2) I was supposed to be posting my 4th graphic tee look this week, but considering that there are nearly 2 feet of snow on the ground, and that we are having to shovel our way out of the driveway, I'm not really feeling the whole skirt & 40-inch heels thing right now...

SO, now that the Internet is back, I'm posting some photos my dear friend Jo of Jo Johnson Photography shot a little while back, and this just-for-fun outfit is brightening my rather cranky mood a little bit. I love the idea of dressing up a sweatshirt, so I figured why not go all out with tulle?

Hope you are all staying warmer and dryer than I am! There is absolutely nothing glamorous about snow.

Top: J. Crew (borrowed from a friend & sold out) | Jeans: Asos (similar)
Clutch: Forever 21 (similar) | Heels: Aldo Shoes (similar)
Necklace: J. Crew (borrowed) | Bracelet: Forever 21 | Lips: 'Fifth Ave. Fuchsia' by Maybelline

I've been obsessed with this heart-print top from J. Crew for awhile, so when I got the chance to style my friend Claire's I was SO excited! She has the most perfect closet I've ever seen, so I raid it whenever I get the chance (follow her on Instagra - @clairemaples). This top provided the perfect chance to style white skinny jeans in the winter (something unexpected that I love), and also the perfect neutral canvas for a bright pink lip.

Tee: Forever 21 (old) | Jeans: (same jeans, different color here)
Heels: Target (similar here and here) | Bag: Aldo (similar here and here)

I love tucking a casual tee into flared jeans for a fun casual look perfect for shopping or a weekend lunch! With spring around the corner, I'm trying to add some vibrant colors into my outfits to hold me over while it's still gloomy out... Anything that helps, right?

I have one more graphic tee look coming up next week, and a beauty giveaway coming up soon, so keep an eye out by following Lenore Lamé on Bloglovin or liking my Facebook page

Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Blazer: Forever 21 (similar)
Jeans: Asos | Booties: Target (on sale) | Necklace: Forever 21 (similar)

I scored this pretty blouse and blazer on my trip to Jacksonville, Florida a couple of months ago (gorgeous F21, btw), and they've both proven to be so versatile! This open-front blazer is great for a casual look (like here), but was also great to wear to the career fair I went to the other day...and you've got to love versatility.

As much as I love deeper colors (particularly burgundy & black as you know), boots, and scarves, I am SO ready for it to warm up here! I'm wanting spring, florals, pastels, skirts and flowy tank tops. Badly. So hopefully spring arrives before I go crazy trying to figure out another way to layer!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I just couldn't resist posting a girly, Valentine's-inspired look today because it's the perfect excuse to wear all things pink, red and hearts! I unfortunately have a crazy day today comprised of an exam, a career fair, and work...but, Trey and I are going out for sushi later tonight and I can't wait to spend some relaxing quality time together :)
Whether you're celebrating 'Single Awareness Day' or going on a date with your honey, I hope you have a fabulous day full of love (and candy)!

Jacket: Target (sold out online) | Shirt: Target (old - similar one here)
Jeans: American Eagle | Flats: Target

For my second graphic tee look I wanted to style a more casual, everyday outfit! On a recent trip to Target I scored this striped jacket on sale for $10 (down from $35) and these adorable studded leopard flats, so I couldn't wait to show them off. I refused to wear flats for years because I thought they looked weird on me, but this year I'm really starting to love them. It's nice to have a chic everyday alternative to boots for those of us that can't wear heels on a daily basis :)

Happy Monday!

P.S. ~ How stunning was Rihanna last night?! She was my Grammys best-dressed last year too, but she just blew me out of the water this year! I loved all three of her looks, and her performance was beautiful.

fashion feature: Hannah.
2.09.2013

Today I wanted to do a fun little post to feature one of my fashionable friends, Hannah, who also happens to be one of my roommates! We literally ran out the front door to snap these photos on a horribly cold and snowy day last week, but the snowflakes ended up looking precious...so, suffering for beauty really paid off I guess! Anyways, the reason we took pictures in the first place was because I write for the fashion website CollegeFashionista.com, and Hannah was my model for a 'Winter Night Out' look (read the article here). Her outfit was just too cute to not share on here as well! (I'm loving her ultra-glam faux fur vest and lipstick!)

I hope all of you are having a splendid (and relaxing) weekend so far! I'll be back with an outfit post on Monday :)

Booties: Steve Madden (similar - and on sale!) | Purse: Aldo (old)

I've really enjoyed the resurgence of graphics on tees and sweaters the past several months, and I think they're a fantastic way to make a casual look more fun! As I'm sure you've picked up on, I love my basic, simple pieces...but I love mixing in fun pieces too, and a graphic print is just an easy (and affordable) way to do that. So, this month I'll be showing four different graphic tee looks with two different tops. Hopefully you all enjoy :)

Also, the weather has been absolutely all over the place here! As I'm sure you noticed, my outfit is a rather warm weather look, and last week when I shot it the weather was gorgeous. A few days later it was snowing and windy. And now it's back in between. Missouri has THE weirdest weather.

100th post!

I've finally reached my 100th post! While I'm not actually having a party about it, I did want to post this little party look I put together. I'm sure you recognize this burgundy top from when I featured it back in November, but I love it so much that I just had to style it one more time before spring color palettes completely take over.

I just wanted to take a little time today to reflect on the many great things I've experienced since starting my blog...

1.
I've found so much inspiration from constantly finding new fantastic bloggers (like yourselves), and it's inspired me to continually evolve my own style. Blogging has also pushed me to be more creative with how I style pieces in my closet... Reading so many blogs (especially some of the bigger ones) can cause you to fall into the trap of constantly wanting more...and while having a fairly extensive closet and adding in trendy items is somewhat important, blogging has opened my eyes to being thankful for what I have while also creatively remixing pieces I already own!

2.
I've really enjoyed getting to 'meet' so many bloggers from not only the US, but all over the world. The blogging community is truly fantastic and I love being a part of it! I've made some fantastic blogger buddies and it's so so fun to watch your blogs grow!

Fun news:
In the next couple of months I'll be working on a blog makeover {design + name...yes name!} and I can't wait for the finished product! In the meantime, I plan to post a little more often starting this month, and I'm hoping that once I graduate from college in May that I'll be able to dedicate even more time to the blog and to all of you!

Jacy
