flared jeans 3 ways {3}.

Shirt: Forever 21 (similar here) | Jeans: Asos
Bag: Aldo (old) | Heels: Target (I like these)
Nail colors: "Penny Talk" and "Sole Mate" by Essie

For my final installment of my flared jeans feature this month I thought I would experiment with the denim-on-denim trend. Who would have thought a year or two ago that we would be wearing denim head-to-toe?? My flared jeans provide the perfect foundation for my new chambray shirt (I finally have one!) because of their super dark wash, and then I accessorized with simple, silver jewelry and a neutral suede bag and heels.

I'm still trying to decide what item to feature 4 ways next month, but I have lots of ideas that I can't wait to share!

Booties: Target | Necklace: Francesca's Collections (similar here)

As promised, this is the outfit I wore for my family's Christmas celebration! I very rarely wear these red jeans, but Christmas seemed like a fairly fitting occasion ;) I purchased & received lots of adorable new clothes this past week (including this studded top) and I can't wait to style them!

I hope all of you are enjoying the Christmas season with friends and family and are receiving lots of goodies at the same time!

Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Whatever your plans and celebrations may be, I hope you have an absolutely fabulous time with friends and family! It's truly the most wonderful time of the year :)

One of my very favorite things about the holidays is listening to Christmas music with my family.
~Just for the occasion, I created a Merry Mix playlist, which you can listen to here!~

Much love,
Jacy

PS ~ I'll be back with a post on Wednesday to show you what I wore for Christmas!

Leopard top: Forever 21 (old, but love this one) | Skirt: Forever 21 (old - similar here)
Heels: Aldo (love these) | Beaded clutch: vintage | Watch: Fossil (similar)

This is an outfit that my friend Jo of Jo Johnson Photography shot in the summer, but I never got around to posting it! I've loved this skirt for years and keep finding new ways to wear it because of its ladylike silhouette and pretty brocade pattern. I absolutely adore this vintage clutch too (stolen from my mom's closet) - you just can't find gorgeous beaded pieces like this every day!

I hope everyone's Christmas (and other holiday) preparations are going wonderfully! I'm enjoying a fun little vacation in Florida, so it doesn't seem quite as Christmas-y as Missouri does this time of year, but I'll be heading home in a few days to celebrate with my family!

Jeans: Asos | Tee: Forever 21 (old, but love this one)
Sweater: Forever 21 (old) | Wedges: Target
Bag: Aldo (old, but like this one) | Bracelet: gifted

This is a more casual look I put together with my flared jeans just to mix things up! I wanted to add in some fun pops of color, which my amazing Target wedges (#TargetDoesItAgain!) and bright turquoise bracelet help achieve :) Also, this sweater was a random purchase at Forever 21 a couple of years ago and it's proven to be such a comfy but cute piece that I can wear with So many things! I love it when that happens.

Tomorrow morning I leave for a little trip to Florida with my boyfriend & his family, so I'm quite excited for the nice weather and some time outside of Missouri!

Hope your Christmas shopping is going well :)

Sweater: Forever 21 (old) | Jeans: American Eagle
Booties: Target | Scarf: Forever 21 (I love all the variations of this one)

Final exams are over and I'm finally home for Christmas break! Last night my family and I picked out and decorated our Christmas tree while listening to the Justin Beiber Christmas album and it was so so fun (it's the little things, right?).

As for this outfit, I know it's casual and not my most exciting ever, but it's cold and I'll admit that the jeans/scarf/boots look has replaced all of my cute skirts recently...sad day. I'm so excited to be on break for 5 weeks, which will give me time to dedicate to the blogging world once more! I apologize for neglecting all of you :)

two in tulle.
12.10.2012

Hello everyone, and happy Monday! I'm so excited to be doing a collaboration with the stylish and gorgeous Lily, the blogger behind Lily Says Go! We wanted to show off a fabulous holiday trend and a tulle skirt is such a glamorous party look that we both love. I think that the different ways we styled a tulle skirt really show off our different styles, and I hope that these looks give you some ideas on how you want to style the trend yourself!

Lily and I were both inspired by our history as dancers, and she also drew on her love of old Hollywood movies! Lily was inspired by a skirt she saw at Anthropologie and cut her skirt from an old prom dress (gorgeous job right?!).

Interestingly enough, this skirt was a random purchase from a Target sale rack back in high school, so I love that tulle has become so trendy several years later! For a holiday party look, I wanted to incorporate this pretty sequined-collar blouse from Ali & Kris and I like the fun and girly pairing!

I hope you loved this collaboration! Please be sure to check out Lily's fabulous blog!

flared jeans 3 ways {1}.
12.04.2012

Jeans: Asos | Top: Forever 21 (pretty one here)
Shoes: Target (pretty pair here) | Necklace: Francesca's Collections (great options here & here)

This month I'm featuring my pair of flared jeans as the piece I'm styling different ways this month! I love the resurgence of this trend and the more flattering, chic way that flared jeans are being styled these days. Pairing a blouse with them is such an easy outfit to throw together, and adding a statement necklace tops off the look perfectly!

I can't wait to show you the other looks I'll be putting together! I'll be styling a more casual look and then a dressy look over the course of this month, which will both be fun to style :)
